One word: DELICIOUS🤤🤤 Super minty, fruity, dirty…. Superb rum😎 Nose: an overwhelming note of minty, menthol, tobacco, dirty notes like rubber and bicycle tube, dried apricot, peaches and blackberry with a bit of oak. Mouth: Pretty much the same notes as before, but less dirty. Finish: Long and minty, menthol, peaches, dried apricot, caramel! The alcohol and barrel are so integrated well!!!

The nose is fruity (red fruits). On the fermented fruits! Caramel/mint/Funky and hydrocarbon (how strange, we are not at Caroni though!). In mouth, it is even more expressive than the nose. We find a mixture of mint/fruit/smoke. The finish is long on a note of intense mint! Personally I was already intrigued by it during the Salon du Rhum and here it is confirmed! I am very happy to have picked up a bottle at the friend Min to be able to dive back in soon...

A very fruity nose with citrus, unripe exotic fruit, carambola and flowers. On the palate, an explosion of fruit with a hint of menthol. The finish is long and elegant. A delicious rum, tasted blind, that can't deny its origin.

TDL tasting evening: 5 for 1! Here we have: the perfect texture, oily as can be Nose: yellow fruits, menthol is not very present, but there's a gourmand side with caramel and wax. Palate: fruit forward, with a hint of tobacco too Finish: medium-bodied, should be longer, with a hint of astringency that I feel loses points.

It's very good, despite a lack of watts for my taste. A little return almost caroni and minty It is well done. Nice length I like it

An exuberant, easy-drinking TDL that leaves you wanting more. The nose is particularly aromatic: menthol and violet give an invigorating air, while fruit (peach, blackcurrant, blackberry, apricot, red fruit) is full and juicy. Roasted oak, spices and caramel are soft and warm. A very fragrant, gourmand nose. The attack on the palate is suave, delicate and savory. Despite a potential reduction, the aromas are well present: rubber, floral and menthol notes, a myriad of fruits and spicy wood form a round, aesthetic and very drinkable whole. The alcohol is well-integrated, so much so that one is tempted to take it back like whey. The finish is long, sensual but not devoid of character, with tobacco, dirty rubber and menthol, followed by spice, smoke and fruit. Very round and balanced. A very solid Samaroli, a real treat for lovers of the genre.

On the nose, without having tasted another rum before, the liveliness of the alcohol is clearly present. Then it's all good. We start with a beautiful fruitiness, on candied apricot, fresh yellow peach, grapefruit and lychee. The alcohol's perennial edge turns to crushed fresh mint leaf. The whole is lined with a lovely, slightly woody caramel. On the palate, the sting of alcohol returns. Fresh lychee, grapefruit and bitter orange. Slight bitterness, too, on the white flesh of almonds. Evolving. Finishes on tiger balm, followed by a light briny veil of green olive. Medium to long finish. Confit apricots on the empty glass, then olive, gunpowder, smoked ham. Finally, the reduction is optimal. I love it.

Wow, delicious rum. The nose and palate are predominantly minty. This rum is also very fruity. It also comes across as intense and dirty on the palate. All in all, an excellent rum with well-integrated alcohol.

On the palate, peach, sage and pepper

A TDL with a very caramelized nose. Then mentholated, woody. The nose is rather closed. On the palate, it's much more expressive: very present mint, fruit, tobacco. Dark and smoky. Reminds me very much of the TDL CDI selected by Caksus. Rather long finish. Very minty. A hint of dirtiness. It's a very particular profile that won't appeal to everyone. For me, it's a very good representative of this vintage's TDLs. The oxidation of the bottle really suits it.
Review by Johannes
Once again a very good and typical representative of the 2003 TDL vintage with the so concise mint note. Due to the slight reduction, this bottling is not so strenuously drinkable, rather an easy sipper.
