Wow, I'm really excited about this wine. After some time in the glass, you are rewarded with a super development. It does everything it should and even a little more. It has the full balanced flavor with the "low" ABV without appearing thin or watered down. A very smooth and elegant rum.

Nice Long Pond, but not quite to my taste. The nose is very light and fresh for the 21 years. Marzipan bread with cirus fruit. The palate is somehow hard to describe, every sip is different. Initially with a slight sweetness and the citrus fruits, then woody with strong roasted aromas, confusing. The finish is quite short and unspectacular.

Wonderful fruity nose delicious marzipan notes ... Ester clearly present but perfectly matching the rum. Woodiness very subtle on the nose. On the palate Slightly oily in the mouth . Alcohol very well integrated... At first it seems a little thin, but this is put into perspective as it lingers in the mouth and develops into a delicious fruity marzipan, pineapple and mango compote that you eat with a wooden spoon 😛😛😉 Great LP !!!

8,7:On the nose, the first impression we get is esters, there are juicy tropical fruits like banana, pineapple, that quickly melt in delicious marmelade. We cannot miss roasted oak, medicinal notes like glue, molasses with vegetal olive. Aeration brings out herbal notes, grass, citruses with lemon peel and papaya. Well balanced. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is spicy, vegetal and fruity with esters, our tasting buds are attacked with baking spices, a bit bitter molasses with an olive, eucalyptus, perhaps menthol, as the wood is a bit resinous, dry.The fruits are juicy, overripe, like melon strawberry, plum, grapefruit, melted into a tasty marmelade that goes directly in the freshly-baked pastry, with a pinch of a salt. After a nice rest, there is a layer of choc and some licorice. 8,4:The finish is very long with pastry glazed with honey, filled with vanilla cream, fruity, just a bit vegetal, marmelade. The wood is dry, toasted.

Still primarily with fresh fruit on the nose, more complex aromas then emerge on the palate. Pastry notes, spices and barrel aromas are added to the tropical fruit potpourri. Nice complexity and balance, even the alcohol strength fits the distillate very well in my eyes - neither too brute nor too thin. Successful!

A really great long pond, but one that needs time. If you give it time, you will be rewarded with a great fruit aroma complex of yellow fruits and spices despite the low ABV. A rum for connoisseurs. 0.2 points upwards because I didn't give it the time it needed when I first tasted it.

#6216 10.01.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after a huge shopping round with my wife. Nose Intense, fruity, fresh, overripe, dried fruit, light varnish, light mango, faint caramel. Palate Oily, fresh, intense, warm, medium spicy, fruity, banana, light mango, citrus, light rubber, faint smoke, naturally sweet, light wood. Finish Long and warm, light wood, faint smoke, oily, fruity, light raisin, medium spicy. Empty glass Light medicinal, mango, faint glue, faint smoke, light rubber, faint floral.

Great Long Pond with lots of tropical fruits such as pineapple, citrus fruits, mango, melons and papaya. There is also plenty of wood and spice. Although only 51%, the bottling is still very complex. Beautifully balanced and round.

Very fruity nose with a great variety of fruit and marzipan with esters. Pastry, marzipan, lots of sweetness and fruit again on the palate. But I miss some wood maturity ... I thought there would also be some tropical ageing here, but I was probably wrong. Surprisingly, the alcohol is sufficient despite the low ABV ... but could be a bit more. But most importantly: a few tropical years would have been a good fit here - at least for my taste.

Initially light and refreshingly fruity, without appearing thin, a beautiful creaminess develops in the mouth over time. The oak is a long time coming, but ultimately reveals itself in the finish with a surprisingly high degree of roastiness. A very fine Jamaican rum with surprising twists.

Very round, soft Jamaican fellow. Typical nose but then really remarkably smooth and round taste with excellently integrated alcohol. The finish is comparatively short. But there's always something!

Great long pond. Alcohol is perfectly integrated. Pleasant sweetness, slightly oily and brings out the tropical fruit basket perfectly. With a hint of marzipan. The finish is unfortunately very thin and the bottling's biggest shortcoming

The nose is already somewhat Hampden-like. Ester, some glue and solvent, floral notes, fermented and tropical fruits, slightly buttery. Super oily/creamy in the mouth, feels really good. Ester present here too with tropical fruit and citrus flavors, licorice, olive, slightly bitter. I really like Long Pond, but I just don't really want to warm up to the LPS Mark. I already felt that way with the WDC. In general, the tropically matured LPs just suit me better. Nevertheless, a very good LP!

Ohh... a very tasty drop! Fruits such as pineapple, banana and lime on the nose. Plus something sticky and sweet, like marzipan or cookies. There are also rusty and woody notes on the nose. The 51% is still OK, but a few percent more would perhaps suit the Rim even better.

A very successful bottling! A Long Pond with all its rough edges – low in esters(ITP?), but lots of glue, and all kinds of tropical fruits 🤤🤤🤤 delicious. The alcohol is super well integrated. On the palate and finish I noticed a slight bitterness, reminiscent of very dark chocolate. I like it 🤙🏻

Tropical fruit and pineapple on the nose, less sweetness and more acidity than the WDC. On the palate, a very nice and round LPS with lots of tropical fruit, the pineapple is not as candied compared to the WDC, which I like a little better in the WDC. But otherwise a brutally round and tasty wine, no question. The finish is still tropical fruit, but compared to the WDC, the toffee is a little lacking here. For me personally, the WDC is the winner, but I also really, really like this bottling from Precious Liquors.

A long weight reduction with superb results. Very easy to drink, as it's very well balanced. But it also gave it a lot of elegance. It also retains a nice complexity with good readability of aromas. Nose, palate and finish (long) are coherent: very fruity with a very pleasant buttery fatness. Despite the pale color, some woody aromas are present.

Wow, what an awesome LongPond. Reminds me a lot of the very cool 11442 LPS from duchesse. It doesn't always have to be tropically stored - this one confirms that. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. Fruit, a little wood and medium esters create a harmonious picture.

This is not the first Long Pond 2001 I try, but the feelings about this vintage are mixed so I don't have expectations. Esters and glue are coming out of the glass, along with agrumes. Surprisingly, glue turns into roasted chestnuts. The alcool, absent in the nose, shows his muscles when it comes to drink. The palate is esters and spices driven, with tropical fruit that stays in the background, and some lactic and liquorice notes. This is not the kind of profile I like most, but indeed this is a good rum.

Very nice nose, but mouthfeel below par. I have corn bread (and other cereals) and resinous pine ^^. Light solvents and sapotle. Very nice integration of the alcohol, but unfortunately not what I expected from a bottle of this caliber.

A very pleasant sample, with a lovely sweet estery aroma and a light, slightly tangy taste. But a lovely smooth sample with a slight dirtiness in the finish, I would have expected it to be stronger in flavour after the vulna, but it is only 51' after all

Nice LP with marzipan and esters. The long finish in particular is really good. But: in the mouth, the rum unfortunately comes across as very delicate and fragile, even a little thin. In addition, the PLV is not particularly good. Neither justifies a better rating for me.
