Neat it's surprisingly gentle for 55% — honeyed sweetness, fresh grass and a light vegetal, almost musty note, with green apple underneath. Most tasters find it subtle rather than loud, and a couple call the alcohol nicely tucked away. Where it really clicks is in a daiquiri or even a rum and cola; sipped straight it splits opinion.

#4738 10.06.2024 Relaxing withe a few samples at home. Nose Fresh, fruity, faint caramel, spices, light banana. Palate Fresh, warm, fruity, banana, faint caramel, spices, lightly sweet. Finish Medium long, light mango, faint vegetal, light caramel. Not really a rum for sipping, but it did pretty well in a Coca Cola actually.

Tasted as a sample after trying a white agricole from Martinique. Floral sensation with honeyed sweetness. The alcohol is not aggressive. Neat it is not unpleasant, and I see it well as a good base for cocktails.

Pure for me hard at the limit, tastes actually only like sweet indefinable moldy vegetable sugar cane juice. Alcohol well integrated, okay in a daiquiri but the flavor profile is absolutely not my cup of tea...

6.10.2025 on-line dugustation of “The nectar of the daily drams” by Rum Explorer Krzysztof Piaseczny. Opravdu jsem čekal, že se jedná o rum z čerstvé štávy. Podle Maria z Nectaru se z něj dělají “nukleární daiquiri” budu muset vyzkoušet!

A salty, metallic note typical of pure juice in pot still. On paper I like it but I don't find the plus or the identity. Reminds me of a Papa Rouyo but less well made without being bad.
