Most helpful positive review
A very very interesting release. From the nose, where I clearly felt a sweet profile - caramel, brown sugar and a bit of wood, the palate surprised me with a fruity undertone. The ABV is really higher, but nicely integrated and creates a long and warming finish.

This is so far the strongest rum I've ever tasted. In the nose, I first sensed wood and woodiness or barrel - after aging in bourbon, but also a bit of medicine as is common in Jamaica. Over time, more fruit is noticeable - I'd say citrus and apricots. The taste is really quite strong; in the first sips, the alcoholic taste overpowered everything else, but the finish was long and warming. Over time, the taste buds got used to it and I could enjoy the woody-fruity flavor.. (It reminds me a bit of the slanted bottle R. L. Seals but with double the %).
