8,5:At first, this rum is more woody. This slightly dusty oak seems to have been well toasted and rested for many years. As if the wood had been lightly rubbed and then blown on it, a small cloud of material appears in the light, made of old wood soaked in brandy, nut powder, spices and fragrant bark.Latter on we continue with tropical fruits like orange peel, mangoes and ripe peaches.Aeration adds details of the barrel: nuts such as walnuts, almond, cocoa, the mineral character of the toasting of the surface of the wood, roasted spices or even very black coffee. All this is finely coated with caramel and molasses, but without sticking, simply to avoid an overly powdery nose. 8,3:The entry in the mouth is both round and woody, with well-toasted oak but also very caramelized and coated with molasses. The atmosphere is therefore rather dark. The spices and nuts are also roasted, and just like the wood, are rolled in a molasses mixed with honey, wood, caramel, vanilla, tobacco and a little orange zest. 8,2:The finish continues with these pleasant aromas and with the orange, which sometimes comes a bit bitter and some dried fruits. A sweet and lovely rum that is pleasant but also somewhat spirituous. I mainly find vanilla, caramel, and some roasted aromas here. Overall, it's quite flat and generic. Doesn't do much wrong but is also pretty boring. 84/100 or 5/10

A little too weak in my opinion except for the tobacco taste, but despite that fruits, oak and some spiciness is recognizable in the nose and flavors of fruits, chocolate, vanilla and spices as well at the palate.

11.12.2018 Enjoying samples at home. Colour Medium dark to dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, faint smoke, spice, light citrus, light coconut, faint orange. Palate Sweet, wood, light roasted, oily, spice, medium spicy, faint chocolate, light earthy, raisin, light caramel. Finish Short to medium, wood, faint smoke, light tobacco, oily, light mint, faint leather, dried fruit, cinnamon.

A good, beginner-friendly representation of St Lucia rum. Combines slightly herbal aromas between tea and tobacco with woody, spicy-sweet aromas that go totally velvety over the tongue. Very complex for the low alcohol content.

Ex bourbon and that comes through in spades. Nose is light with raisin and oak. Mouth comes through fast with vanilla and caramel fading quickly to raisin and healthy amounts of oak and barrel influence. Finish is dry and barrel led with more ok and medium length. It’s a solid column still rum, a bit of light funk and good well balanced bourbon cask rum. Not exceptional but solid sipper

Distillation: Column still Aging: Tropical 7-12 Nose: Mild and doesn’t tell you much but without being unpleasant. Palate: The attack is absolutely delectable. Like a creamy vanilla butterscotch brandy type flavor that rises high and strong on the first instance. Incredible. This is followed by a smooth-as-can-be rounded rum flavor. St Lucia rums are known for their silkiness and this one fits the bill in that regard. But boy, that attack flavor is really something to write home about. Finish: Average to long finish that is a gentle flavor wave of continuance, not much new but what is there is very good indeed. Recommended. The first attack flavor alone is worth the price of admission.

Rum tasting at Oops D. 20.06.2026. Together with F. Kraemmer Theme St. Lucia. Nose on an adventure👃: I sense lightly spiced, a bit of oak, faint raisin. Tongue on an adventure 🥃: I taste a quite nice rum that is lightly spiced, but oily, definitely some oak. The tail of the story💫: I think it drains the mouth of moisture.

A nice, simple rum that could be recommended to anyone at the beginning of their rum discovery journey. Aromas of vanilla, fruit, raisins and wood. Vanilla, spice, chocolate and wood on the palate. Unfortunately, it is unnecessarily thin throughout.

Strong oaky/varnish smell. Prunes and raisins all the way. The finish is longggggg. I still have the taste in mouth 20 minutes after the tasting. It definitely has character.

In the nose the woody side comes after a good aeration, also no it is a very fruity side which invades and titillates your nostrils. In mouth it is rather flat, we have a light and fruity smoked side.

Nice woody nose. Round and balanced. Taste-wise, wonderfully seasoned. Wood and oak tones. Spices are also present. All nicely rounded but still strong. The alcohol is well integrated, a great rounded thing for the price, a recommendation.

Pleasant rum. Does not have a strong alcoholic smell which will leave you surprised when tasting it! The sweetness coupled with the fruit taste leaves you wanting more. Would recommend it mostly to experienced rum lovers over newcomers.

On The Rocks: On the nose there is hints of brown sugar, caramel, oak and spice. Taste reveals a smooth oily and buttery caramel, brown sugar, oak and spice that is well rounded and enjoyable. I thought it would be less sweet but it is quite sweet. That was a surprise. It is good though. It is nicely balanced full-bodied taste. On the 👅 with vanilla, cocoa, chocolate and raisins. A lot of spiciness with peppery undertones. Short to medium finish.

An inoffensive aged rum that’s more expensive that in should be. Lights notes of wood and raisin on the nose and palate, and in general underwhelming. A short finish that has me wishing for a higher proof, more complex profile, and cheaper price tag.

This rum has a nice smell of overripe pineapple and raisin. The taste is very soft and not too sweet, so you enjoy even minor flavors. Those wellmarked are chocolate and vanilla. Rum has medium-long oak barrel aftertaste, it is nicely smooth and not overly dry. Very good rum, however it could cost less.
