A really good smell of fruits like raisins. However it’s barely noticed in the actual taste. All around very smooth to drink.

Ein lieblich-süßer Rum, der gefällig aber auch etwas sprittig daher kommt. Ich finde hier vor allem Vanille, Karamel und ein paar Röstaromen. Insgesamt ist der aber recht flach und beliebig. Macht nicht viel verkehrt, ist aber auch ziemlich langweilig. 84/100 oder 5/10

8,5:At first, this rum is more woody. This slightly dusty oak seems to have been well toasted and rested for many years. As if the wood had been lightly rubbed and then blown on it, a small cloud of material appears in the light, made of old wood soaked in brandy, nut powder, spices and fragrant bark.Latter on we continue with tropical fruits like orange peel, mangoes and ripe peaches.Aeration adds details of the barrel: nuts such as walnuts, almond, cocoa, the mineral character of the toasting of the surface of the wood, roasted spices or even very black coffee. All this is finely coated with caramel and molasses, but without sticking, simply to avoid an overly powdery nose. 8,3:The entry in the mouth is both round and woody, with well-toasted oak but also very caramelized and coated with molasses. The atmosphere is therefore rather dark. The spices and nuts are also roasted, and just like the wood, are rolled in a molasses mixed with honey, wood, caramel, vanilla, tobacco and a little orange zest. 8,2:The finish continues with these pleasant aromas and with the orange, which sometimes comes a bit bitter and some dried fruits..

Schöne Holzige Nase. Rund und ausgewogen. Geschmacklich toll abgeschmeckte.Holz und Eichentöne. Gewürze sind auch dabei. Alles schön rund aber dennoch kräftig. Der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden ne tolle runde Sache für den Preis eine Empfehlung

Distillation: Column still Aging: Tropical 7-12 Nose: Mild and doesn’t tell you much but without being unpleasant. Palate: The attack is absolutely delectable. Like a creamy vanilla butterscotch brandy type flavor that rises high and strong on the first instance. Incredible. This is followed by a smooth-as-can-be rounded rum flavor. St Lucia rums are known for their silkiness and this one fits the bill in that regard. But boy, that attack flavor is really something to write home about. Finish: Average to long finish that is a gentle flavor wave of continuance, not much new but what is there is very good indeed. Recommended. The first attack flavor alone is worth the price of admission.

Strong oaky/varnish smell. Prunes and raisins all the way. The finish is longggggg. I still have the taste in mouth 20 minutes after the tasting. It definitely has character.

Holz, Fass, Rauch, Tabak und Karamell bilden hier die Impressionen, welche einen von Beginn bis Ende begleiten. Der Alkohol ist trotz der "nur" 40% für meinen Geschmack erstklassig eingebunden. Alles in allem nichts besonderes, aber auch nicht vom Tisch zu weisen.

I thought it would be less sweet but it is quite sweet. That was a surprise. It is good though. It is nicely balanced full-bodied taste. On the 👅 with vanilla, cocoa, chocolate and raisins. A lot of spiciness with peppery undertones. Short to medium finish.

An inoffensive aged rum that’s more expensive that in should be. Lights notes of wood and raisin on the nose and palate, and in general underwhelming. A short finish that has me wishing for a higher proof, more complex profile, and cheaper price tag.
