A competitor product to the 3y Havana, which is also supposed to have been aged 3 years in a bourbon barrel. The rum is absolutely clear and has little to no aromas of barrel aging. Certainly designed as a mixer for classic cocktails, but this rum is not suitable for more than that.

EDIT: I sniffed a glass in the morning, distinct smell of fresh yeast. First time I encounter something like this, the bread umami notes didn't deceive me. Smell: Blackberries, black cherries, dried forest fruits, bananas, tobacco, vanilla, a hint of peppermint, red tart grapes, purple flowers, sweet floral nectar, a hint of anchovies or simply umami Taste: Delicate, vanilla, forest fruit jam, pineapple, bread note - bland fermentation, sour, mineral, dried curaçao peels Finish: Mineral, slightly bitter
