Sip this neat — it's a Martinique agricole that drinks soft, almost cognac-like, with apricot and yellow fruit up front, coconut, caramel and a wisp of tobacco. The palate turns drier and earthier: hay, pepper, a little pencil shaving. One taster found it slightly thin from the dilution and short on complexity, but the noble oak and fruit win most people over.

A very inviting nose. Fruity, light barrel impact with some vanilla. Reminds me of a soft cognac. Taste has an alcoholic spiciness, spices, hay and some pencil shavings. The finish is balanced, dry, earthy with light mineral notes. All in all, a very nice Rhum Agricole.

I like it a lot! Unfortunately, something is lost through the dilution. It's a little too thin for me and lacks some complexity. Blindly, I would have guessed a standard like the Depaz XO.
