One taster calls it maybe the best Port Mourant they've tried, and the register agrees. Polished oak, leather, black tea and dark chocolate lead, with tropical fruit and raisin sitting underneath. At 33 years the alcohol is beautifully integrated — velvety and drinkable. The recurring gripe: at 49% it reads a touch watery and thin, so the palate never quite matches that stunning nose.

Great Port Mourant. In direct comparison with the Artesanal 1989 PM rum, somewhat fruitier but also more bitter with more wood. I like these bottlings more and more. More ABV would be better, as with most of these bottles, of course.

I'm starting to really like this older Uitvlugt. Another great bottling for me. I really like the profile. A little woody and more bitter than some other bottlings, but well within the range that I like. The minus point is unfortunately that it comes across as a little watery and thin, otherwise it would have received a better rating.

#5519 01.08.2025 Running through some samples at home while listening to a Tomorrowland 2025 playlist. Nose Round, balanced, wood, light roasted, faint pineapple, light varnish, light caramel, tobacco, faint tar. Palate Oily, balanced, wood, faint smoke, light citrus, light caramel, faint varnish, light chocolate, light raisin, faint herbal, faint iodine. Finish Long, wood, light roasted, faint tannins, light tar, anise, faint salt, light herbal, light tobasso. Empty glass Chocolate, vanilla, wood, faint polish, light pineapple.

At the level of the RA and Greenheart, tropical fruits on the nose, herbal notes, olives, caramel, dried dates. Already quite bitter on the palate, with barrel, tannins, black tea, malt. This mango note on the finish.

A dreamy PM with a complex dark profile. Like the Greenheart, less wood, but more fruits and tea than the RA. Alongside that, herbs, coffee, anise, and leather nestled in super well-integrated alcohol.

Similar profile to RX 7791, only this one is a bit fruitier towards citrus fruits. Here too the alcohol is perfectly integrated, which makes the rum really easy to drink. With some time in the glass it develops and raisins appear.

On the nose, we don't find the beautiful glue that can displease some people but that I love! There is woody, tropical fruits and spices. We have licorice, vegetal notes of eucalyptus ... the nose is rather conventional for a PM, but it is very attractive because fruity.In the mouth, it is complex, much more complex than the nose. We have licorice, solvents, woody, red fruits, citrus, almond, vanilla ... With such an age on the meter, we obviously find more bitter notes (dark chocolate, tannins, ...).The finish is long on leather, burnt wood and resin.Rum with a particularly attractive nose and a perfect balance in the tasting. Beautiful bottle that some people had the chance to buy it in pre-order with their own name on the label to make it even more collector! For my part, I left with a small bottle of Nobilis Australia 2007 that I had liked! Thanks again Min for the welcome and the sharing! We will certainly meet again in 2023 ...

Diamond Advent Calendar RFC 2024. Very nice guyanka. Personally, I rather I'm not gonna leave the apple tones out. Very pleasant, spicy and leathery notes. For me it could do with a little higher abv, but on the whole a nice night.

An amazing profile which might be the best PM that I have tried so far. The relatively lower abv is not a weakness here. The rum is especially special on the nose, it has this touch of eucalyptus note on the nose that I really enjoy, on the tounge it joins with a sweet mintyness which makes it a really enjoyable sipper.

On its own, a very good rum, but compared to my lineup today with RX26190 and RX12549, it falls a bit behind. It comes across a bit thinner and less intense. It lacks some power, not in terms of ABV but in taste/aroma.

Nose: Complex, typical Port Mourant notes. Dominant are molasses, leather, polished oak, coffee and dark cocoa. Joined by ripe tropical fruits (banana, dried plum), a fine peat smoke note and a subtle sea salt breeze. Palate: Elegant, lively and despite 33 years perfectly integrated alcohol. Velvety, powerful start with intense spice, cloves, licorice and bitter chocolate. Over time Demerara sweetness and dry oak balance each other, underlined by fresh orange peel. Finish: Phenomenally long, dry and warming. Minutes-long, wood-imprinted finish with typical ester notes, tobacco, leather, some vanilla and a hint of menthol. Despite the high age perfectly balanced without the wood dominating. A complex, meditative character rum that needs a lot of time to breathe.

A nose that offers a beautiful complexity, an evolution over 30 minutes that raises hopes for a delightful tasting. On the palate, very surprised by the lightness of the aromas, I recognize the classic profile of a very good PM, but too watery for my taste. Lacks intensity, despite a beautiful complexity.

Quite the nose, if only that profile would continue on the palate. Quite watery and thin tasting this. Spice and everything is there but I can't help and not find it better than just good. I would not pay the bottle price
