My first unaged blend and what a one...the Hampden HGML is clearly dominant...however, the DDL also leaves its mark and complements the interplay!A nice fruity nose with esters and yogurt flavors.Soft and creamy it spreads on the palate citrus, yogurt and herbal flavors unfold and also introduce the finish!A class unaged blend with excellent integrated alcohol

#4557 19.01.2024 Got a set of samples from a former colleague in Sweden and today I'll give them a go. My tastebuds are still hyper sensitive, which can be both good and bad. Nice and fruity rum with light polish and lovely esters. The palate is oily and fresh with a light salty note. There is a nice natural sweetness on the tongue. The finish is medium long and has a nice floral note to it. The empty glass has light olive to it and some vegetal notes.

Wow - this is much better than anticipated tbh. Nice fruity notes on the nose and a very oily texture with choclate on the palate. Personally I do like the standalone unaged HMGL better, but this is a very well executed blend.

I had this both in a Daiquiri and also neat. In a drink you can really feel a high ester Jamaica, while neat I would say the Guyanese influence is stronger (Port Mourant). For a Daiquiri i think it's great.

Beautiful white blend. I like!

Jamaica very present in the nose as in the mouth. Esters. Ripe fruit. A moderately pleasant bitterness. I expected more.

Nose full of Hampden, the esters are coming through. You really have to look for the PM part. On the palate it becomes very dry and the PM part dominates. The esters reverberate at the end. Interesting blend but not my cup of tea.

a blend of unaged HD HGML/LROK and DDL PM. On the nose, I clearly have HD at the beginning. I spontaneously had an association with Rum Fire. But the Tamosi is less 'biting'. Later, the PM olives too. Citrus fruits, brine, burnt sugar on the palate. I think you get pretty good value here for 45 EUR a bottle!

Really horny nose of Hampden, taste the Hampden brings then ester and some overripe fruit with but is strangely dominated by the Guyana share mMn discreetly with licorice, nutmeg, brine, musty wood and some cucumber?! Also in the daiquiri for me no particularly tasty matter, slightly salty, vegetable, fermented and discreetly ester and overripe fruit. For me, not a successful blend...
