Nice combination of fruitiness and agricole aroma, vanilla, well-used cask. The taste is hard to describe, but again it's a mix of agricole with fruit, spices, well-used cask, nutmeg. The finish is in a similar vein. Very well done from me.

Very neutral mid-range agricole that is not bad but is not standing out of the crowd of agricole rhums. It feels more like a mixer type of the agricole rhum than a sipper. I cannot find one specific note that stands out and differentiates this rhum from others. Maybe a peppery intro and bitterness in the finish.

The 3yo from Montebello is a blend of 70% 3yo rhum, 20% 8yo rhum and 10% of 12yo rhum which gives an average age of 5 years. It’s actually the only aged Montebello rhum that is a blend. All the others are vintages. As a summary I think they have made a great job to create this blend.

#7183 19.08.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after a nice bike training. Listening to some tracks by Charlotte de Witte on Spotify. Decent rum but I would have loved a higher ABV. I think this one was watered down to death. Light profile with fruits, caramel, honey, spice, woody and tannins.

Then an Agricole from Montebello afterwards. Average, nothing special. The nose is fruity, herbs and grass are also recognizable. On the palate then very vegetal + sugarcane, but also some metal and pepper are noticeable.

Average Agricole with grass, herbs, vegetal notes, and sugarcane with citrus peel. Also some fruitiness of yellow fruits. Nothing special and Agricole, like I don't really like it.

24 Days of Rum 2024 - Black Edition - Day 11 First impression: pleasantly fruity, sweet agricole Nose: nicely balanced between floral and fruity aromas, complexity hints (7+) Palate: grass, cereals, body, alcohol, hint of metallic (<7) Finish: medium, otherwise personally unimpressive Overall impression: not usually a big fan of Agricole, but I like this one. I can imagine it very well in mixers

I'm really trying to like this rum, but I just can't. Despite its low alcohol content, it feels like I'm drinking Bacardi Carta Blanca, with that very medicinal and bitter side that burns my mouth.

Day 11 on 24 days of rum calendar. Maybe the best yet and that isn't saying much, though I haven't hit all the 10 previous yet. Vanilla, light cherry wood or sherry. Light golden pour. Pleasant bit of perfume at the end. I'd be interested to try some of their more aged stuff.
