I find the 18-year-old is not better than the 10-year-old. Nose is woody, also marzipan and cocoa. On the palate also a lot of wood and a pleasant sweetness, mostly cocoa. But coffee can also be detected.

Unbelievably awesome nose! Aromatically really crazy how much it reminds me of a very good Reposado Tequila and how much the barrel dominates even though it was only a finish! For me personally, the rum gets a bit lost, hence the lower score, but still an exciting project! 🙏 Price-performance here with 150€ is also a bit of a downside for me...

#6020 03.12.2025 Running a few samples while listening to some nice music on Spotify. Nose Round, wood, light roasted, cinnamon, light orange, light chocolate, light vanilla, light nutts. Palate Oily, fresh, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light orange, light chocolate, vanilla, light nutts. Finish Medium long, oily, wood, light herbs, light orange, light chocolate. Empty glass Vanilla, chocolate, dried fruit, cinnamon.

Nice sweet rum on the nose, more on the tongue, also a bit of wood, well made, but way too expensive. There are definitely much better 18-year-olds or cheaper ones...
