#4572 26-27.01.2024 Hanse Spirit OK, this one was an instant regret. A mixture of sugar and Christmas spices. To me sweet with sweet on it and then add some sugar just because you can. Cheap rum but not a rum in my mind. Got a bit on my fingers and I think you can use it as simple glue ☺️ Brought home a sample to someone I know likes this kind of rum.

A very sweet spiced rum. If you like and are looking for exactly that, you're in a good place here. On the nose, immediately lots of vanilla and caramel. Taste-wise very sweet, lots of caramel and vanilla, but unfortunately slightly artificial or too much of it. The finish is supported by some coconut and comes back with caramel and vanilla. Even though it's very sweet, I would buy it again anytime because it delivers exactly what it promises in cocktails.

I simply picked it up as a sample at HanseSpirit. Clearly: this is not my cup of tea! Flavored, sweetened and reduced to 40%. But I'm not the target group for this rum-based spirit. Let me taste it objectively. Nose: oh yes, sugary sweet and blatantly intense pineapple with coconut. But rather intensely artificial with a hint of passion fruit. Piña colada from the supermarket. Plus lots of vanilla, caramel and a hint of cinnamon. Also reminds me strongly of a caramel pudding, very creamy and creamy. It's more like a liqueur than a round rum. 24 Palate: I haven't had anything this sweet in a glass for a long time. Thick, but also soft and creamy sugar syrup with candied pineapple, coconut chips and vanilla. But again, it all seems very artificial. Unfortunately, there's not much more to it than that. At least it doesn't seem watered down, despite the low ABV. 22 For sweet rum lovers, this is certainly a nice digestif. For those like me, it's more of a horror. But better than DP, even if only minimally 😜.

On the nose, what you know from many spiced rums. Especially coconut, pineapple, banana. Less chemical than many others. On the palate, of course sweet and gummy bears. Definitely recommended for fans of this type of rum.

Pleasant rum but nothing groundbreaking. On the nose, a lot of artificial aromas. Toffee, nougat, chocolate, overripe banana. Very soft on the palate. Alcohol well integrated and not sharp. However, with every sip, I was accompanied by a slightly musty taste. On the tongue, it feels very thick and creamy. Here too, very sweet aromas can be perceived. The relatively short finish tastes a bit artificial, burnt to me, and brings out a very sweet caramel note.

Tried at Flensburg Rum Convent 2023, finally poured the sample into the glass now First impression: viscous, caramel, very sweet, artificial Nose: caramel, toffee, banana, sweet, sweet, sweet Palate: alcohol, burnt, sweet, rum? Finish: short, unimpressive Overall impression: exaggeratedly sweet, caramel nose, on the palate you wonder what rum leftovers had to go for this. I can only give under 5 because even Captain Morgan is rounder. Sorry, the recycling glass doesn't help either.

A spirit based on several rums with 40% from FRC. The alcohol is hardly noticeable on the nose. However, the aromas seem quite artificial. The palate, despite sweetness, is not caressed. The alcohol is very well integrated, but the rather artificial aftertaste reminds more of a candy. Since the taste fades quickly, it's not that bad :-). Conclusion: If you want a sweet rum, then rather Royal Danish Navy from A.H. Riise.
