Túto 68% bombu z roku pána 2010 z Fiji je potrebné istý čas nechať odležať v poháriku a moc s pohárom,,nešermovať,, pretože v opačnom prípade jediné čo z vône dostanete je alkohol a ostrosť. Pokiaľ ho necháte vydýchať, krásne sa otvorí a ukáže svoje sladké tóny vanilky, karamelu, čokolády a dreva. Naozaj ak k nemu pristúpime s rešpektom dá sa z neho dostať veľa. Chuť je následne priam explozívna. Na to že ma 68% je sladká plná karamelu, vanilky, mliečnej čokolády a créme brule. Jeho sila zároveň dodáva dávku pikantnosti. Jediný problém mám s finishom, zdá sa mi pomerne krátky na to koľko percent alkoholu v sebe skrýva.

Listening to some Ben Gold, Axiver and Maarten de Jong on Spotify. A pretty decent bottling with a lot of chocolate and orange on top of the other fruits and wood. Needs time in the glass to really open up.

Here we have a somewhat rounder Fiji from 2010. Very chocolaty and overall rather on the alcoholic side. With longer time in the glass it becomes more column-style. Basically not a bad product but the poorly integrated alcohol spoils everything a bit.

In the nose you can smell coconut and chocolate, in the taste there is quite a lot of alcohol.. it seems too much to me.. taste-wise it slowly approaches spirits like slivovitz.. the finish is long, it reminds me a bit of cough drops… Honestly, I don't really taste the Fiji like in Plantation Fiji…

For me, a relatively unexplored destination; on the nose lots of coconut, chocolate, but also a lot of alcohol. On the palate, pronounced sweetness and coconut and alcohol. The finish is long, I still feel coconut long after drinking.

Blind tasting. Color straw. Nose vanilla, wood, coconut, alcoholic. Taste vanilla, wood, coconut, fairly pronounced alcoholic. Finish medium length vanilla coconut. ABV 60. I guessed Barbados.
