The surprise here is how sweet and soft the cane reads for a 50% white agricole — the nose leans exotic-fruit and floral before the grassy, vegetal side arrives. Members find it oily, rounded and easy-drinking, with citrus and herbs and a lightly spiced, dry finish. Classic Martinique blanc: pleasant and balanced, though a couple of tasters wanted more length and complexity.

#4562 19.01.2024 Got a set of samples from a former colleague in Sweden and today I'll give them a go. My tastebuds are still hyper sensitive, which can be both good and bad. Pretty well balanced release. The nose is really nice and fruity with some floral and herbal notes. The palate is oily and medium intense yet well balanced. There is light licorice and faint smoke on the palate as well. The finish is medium long, medium dry and fresh with a vegetal touch. The empty glass has some anise and light tea. Price to quality is very good.

I would say a classic of Martinican white agricultural rums. It doesn't hold the top spot but maintains an honorable quality. There is roundness. Lacks complexity and length for me to raise my rating.

Newcomer among Martinican rums, this white from Braud & Quennesson is a beautiful first sip. The nose is surprisingly sweet and soft due to the terroir and the sugarcane being sweeter than usual, and it's very pleasant. Notes of exotic and candied fruits blend with herbs and citrus. The attack on the palate is just as creamy and smooth as the nose. This sweetness returns to the great delight of the taste buds. It's fruity, vegetal, floral, aromatic, and very creamy. It's extremely easy to drink. The finish, of good length, is slightly spicy and dry, vegetal and fruity. A successful first bottling for this very promising new brand. It's a very good quality/price ratio, excellent in Ti Punch.
