The surprise here is how well the 55% hides — most tasters call the alcohol well-integrated for the strength. Fresh cane, lime and grass lead, with a peppery, earthy, slightly herbal finish. It's a textbook Martinique blanc: clean and correct. A few reviewers found it a touch generic, "sans real highlights," but almost everyone reaches for it as a ti-punch base.

Most helpful positive review
The more intense form of the classic Braud & Quennesson. The floral, herbaceous, and sugarcane aromas dominate the nose, accompanied by citrus (notably lime) and peppery notes. We lose the creaminess of the first rum to gain power in this second batch. The attack on the palate is also livelier, spicier, and less fruity. Lime, pepper, and sugarcane return to give body to this floral, herbaceous, and earthy profile. The alcohol is more pronounced but remains generally well integrated. The length on the palate is medium, carried by agricultural flavors (vegetal, floral), a spicy heat (chili), and a fruity touch that adds a slight indulgence to the whole. A much drier rum than its predecessor, but it will quench the thirst of white rum fans without any problem.

A rum tasted at the Rhum Fest in 2024. A beautiful nose with all that makes the charm of agricoles, herbal, lime and freshness. The palate is a bit less good and the finish is quite short. A rum that promised more on the nose, but still very well made.

#5220 11.04.2025 Running some white samples at home while relaxing a bit. Nose Medium intense, fresh, sugarcane, faint polish, light floral, spice, light citrus, faint nutts. Palate Light oily, fresh, sugarcane, light floral, light citrus, nutts, medium spicy, light herbal. Finish Medium long, light oily, sugarcane, citrus, medium spicy, faint pepper. Empty glass Citrus, spice, light herbs, floral.

Grassy fresh with soft citrus notes on the nose. The taste mixes tangerine (sweet) and lime. The finish complements indefinable herbs and fresh earth on which sugar cane was beaten.

It's a rum that fits the classic Martinique agricole rum profile: pepper - citrus - cane. A slight earthy side. I tasted it after a very typical white and really struggled to invest in it. I see it well in a ti punch.

Very good white rum, all the know-how of Martinique. Powerful rum with fruity notes and sugarcane. It's a good value for money, I absolutely recommend it for preparing ti-punch.

Absolutely solid agricole Blanc. 55% well integrated. Certainly makes a good ti punch. Aromatically more on the vegetal side with slightly bitter chamomile, black pepper, earthy licorice, and a subtle tangerine note.

Very successful, the best among the new white rums. A bit of rubber in the profile, quite a bit of licorice, really very good but not up to the level of its older brothers like Bally 55% or Depaz 55%. But very pleasant anyway.

I expected a lot from this distillery about which I read great things last year. Sure, it's good. But in my opinion, not at all exceptional or very different from other agricoles from the same origin. Cane, citrus, chili, vegetal. It's a well-known profile. It's well made but I expected more.

Fresh cane and citrus are very present on the nose. A palate in the same spirit, with a fairly spicy or peppery finish. Easy to drink, and very tasty for me, without any off notes... very good value for money. Cool.

Tasted at Rhum Fest Paris 2024 so palate might have been a bit tired. The one I liked less of the standard lineup from this new company, mainly due to lesser alcohol integration Still, pretty a classic unaged agricole without flaws other than alcohol integration but also with no real highlights

The nose is magnificent with citrus, custard, vegetables, sweet cane, flowers, some ripe fruit and a moist note. The palate is warmer with pepper, custard, citrus, vegetables (green peppers), chamomile, green tea, a hint of lychee and in the slightly earthy finish also some roasted hazelnuts. Good body and persistence in a dry and sweet mix. Reminds me a bit of Montebello Winch. In the empty glass cream, citrus and earthiness

On the nose, fruit, floral as desired with fresh citrus. The fresh cane is definitely there. 10 minutes later, more gourmand notes with a bit of almond and spices – especially on vanilla. On the palate, the cane immediately settles with gourmandise, still bringing fresh citrus. It opens on a medium to long finish, without a major dominance: citrus and mild spices, well-integrated alcohol. Elegant white rum, an aromatic profile that holds up. A gold medal at the last agricultural competition well deserved 😇
