Infinity Spirits Foursquare The Royal Cane Cask Company Single Cask Rum 2005
Most tasters land in the same place: a textbook Foursquare, rounded and easy-drinking, that holds its own against the brand's own ECS releases without doing anything wild. Expect milk chocolate, caramel, cinnamon and caramelized banana with toasted oak underneath. A few found it almost too soft, one caught a bitter turn on the finish, but the majority call it a genuinely tasty 17-year Barbados sipper.

Nice full flavor with delicious nuances. Long finish, which leaves the palate with impressions of cinnamon, banana and burnt oak.

Even though FS is not one of my favorite rums, I have to acknowledge that this one is well made. The pleasant, soft sweetness on the nose, which initially makes you think of a Spanish-style rum, continues on the palate, here balanced with woody notes. The finish is medium long, the alcohol perfectly integrated.

Note: Employment at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement with evaluated bottlings. All ratings are my personal, unpaid opinion. Very cool & round Foursquare. Very tasty, easy to drink and balanced. Easily competes with current Foursquare like the FS Isonomy! Absolutely on par in my opinion and you get a practically equivalent bottling for a good deal cheaper... Chocolate, caramelized banana, coconut, cinnamon, orange peel and dried fruit in absolute harmony.

#4114 This is a really nice Barbados rum. We'll rounded and smooth. Fruity with some spices and roasted wood notes. Long warm and lightly dry finish. Draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some chocolate and light caramel. After a few hours the glass is very fruity.

Typical Foursquare. One of the better ones! Nicely balanced! Amazingly good!

Edit: I don't think it comes close to the Isonomy, as Crazyforgoodbooze says. But still a very good bottling. Here you taste the typical Foursquare profile. Doesn't have to hide from the ECS bottlings. I find it round and the alcohol is well integrated.

An excellent rum. Has a nice chocolate, caramel, and vanilla note. Really tastes great on the palate. Also quite entertaining in the finish. This rum is really great. I can only recommend it.

Solid, normal Foursquare. You get what you expect.

Cross-tasting with seven releases from Royal Cane. Yeah… this is definitely a Foursquare now. Very drinkable, almost too sweet, but just almost. Overall none of the releases convinced me.
Review by Serge
Typical FS profile at the level of some ECS bottlings.

Probably one of the best Foursquare i tried so far. Nice rich and complex flavors.

Tastes very good, Barbados through and through.
Review by DutchRumPirate
A delicious rum with truly delicious Foursquare elements. On the nose, you'll smell delightful spices, milk chocolate, and a hint of pineapple sweetness combined with a full, banana-like aroma. The taste has powerful and slightly dry Foursquare notes, with strong spices and toasted wood accents. There's a medium-length, dry finish. Pleasantly rounded and a real treat, especially at this price!
Review by Snorre Brouer
Tastes like they filtered it using grated coconut. Clearly a Barbados rum, but it's not clear, it's Foursquare. Fine sipper, but nothing special. It's a long time since i tried Plantation Barbados 20th anniversary rum, but I would say that this rum is like a zero added sugar and cask strength version of that.

Really falls bitter in the end. But still Foursquare usually delivers a solid product range even with Indies. It seems very little hit or miss with them. But, unfortunately I do not care too much for this.
