Romdeluxe Diamond Wild Series Rum Unicorn Tasting Kit Vol. 2 MDXC 2004
One taster called it a "profil terrien" — earthy, ground-hugging, very woody, with floral and herbal notes cutting through the dark. Expect licorice, caramel and a light smokiness, plus dark chocolate and dates on the palate. A couple of members reckon this 18-year Diamond spent a touch too long in the barrel; the oak turns slightly bitter and the finish is short.
The community says- Earthy licorice depth
- Well-integrated ABV
- But: Bitter oak edge

Aggregated from 15 community reviews.
Earthy, woody Guyana pot still with licorice A well-regarded cask-strength Diamond, though several tasters felt the long ageing dried it out — good, not their favorite of the series. Alcohol sits nicely integrated.

This was the last one and the floral note on this release is lighter than the previous one. On the other hand there is a light smokiness in the profile and I like that. A pretty good release and if I had the money I'd probably buy both series and share them with friends 😊 Be aware that there are two releases of each series. Usually one for Denmark and one for EU and they can be different in the profile.

Not bad, but too long in the barrel for my liking. What 2 years more compared to the really malty-süffigen MDXC of The Rum Cask (RX7442) but can make so ...

Typical 2004 Diamond with lots of molasses, licorice and caramel.
Review by Vincent D
Goûté au RhumFest avec les ROA. Entre le MEE et le SVL. C'est un profil terrien, collé au sol, dont s'extraient quelques notes florales et herbacées qui tranchent avec un profil sombre et très boisé. Sympathique.

Lots of licorice. Some caramel and a slightly bitter woody note. Alcohol is well integrated. Relatively short finish. It's not a bad bottling, but w It didn't convince me.

31-07-2025 - Rate 8.5 Nice with a good RDL. In my opinion they were better “in the old days” But this is a great releas. All 3 wolf rums are great. In the nose I have burnt sugar, oak, dades and a hint of dark chocolate. Fine ABV I taste almost the same as I smell. Strong hint of dates and oak.
