Again, like with the 2010 vintage, you have to approach it with respect and let it rest in the glass for at least 20 minutes. Otherwise, you'll only get sharpness and alcohol from it. The nose is sweetish, but also reminds me of homemade schnapps; after exhaling, you can also sense fruity notes, wood, and a lacquer aroma. However, I also catch a certain strange acidity. The taste is pronounced, sweet, full of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, complemented by the bitterness of wood. In this piece, which is younger, paradoxically I catch more wood and barrels. Another successful piece from AM, but its older sibling from 2010 tastes a bit better to me. While the older one had the taste of milk chocolate, here it is bitter chocolate that dominates the flavor.
