Aroma visualization from community tastings
A.F.D. S.B.S Dominican Republic 2006
Sip it neat with a little time in the glass and you get heaps of dark chocolate, coffee and cocoa, with just a "dezent" touch of that typical Dominican sweetness. Several tasters call it intensely chocolatey but not very complex, and almost everyone flags the 59% as not fully integrated — it needs a minute to settle before the cask flavors come through.
- Dark chocolate notes
- Coffee and cocoa
- Restrained sweetness

How does A.F.D. S.B.S Dominican Republic 2006 taste?
Aggregated from 24 community reviews.
Chocolatey Dominican, but the alcohol pokes through Most find it a tasty, chocolate-and-coffee Dominican with restrained sweetness. The recurring catch: the alcohol sticks out and isn't well tucked in, and it's short on fruit and complexity.

Quite a decent dram, I have been expecting less. But what’re is mandatory.

Can I give a rum 80 points because I find him just delicious ? - I just do it times :PDThe DomRep here is a delicious Spaniard with beautiful cocoa and coffee notes.not particularly complex, but very intense and tastes me with its ABV just super good to wegsippen.

01.11.2019 Den Dansk Rom & Whiskyfestival This was my first visit to this two day event, where everything is included in the ticket. Also the first event where I have seen so many extremely drunk people. This event usually just has what's considered mainstream products, but luckily my friend had the right contacts so for a premium we had our own little collection to go through. Today I get free a free ticket if I want to attend 😊 Not too bad a rum especially thinking about the price tag. Lightly fruity with nice caramel and chocolate. The palate is oily with nice coffee notes. The finish is medium to long and spicy. ABV could have been better integrated.

You can feel the typical DomRep sweetness on the palate, but this sweetness is very subtle and restrained.

Nice chocolate, barrel, but he could stand a longer storage. Alcohol not top integrated. But not a bad drop!

V rámci zdrojové destinace jsem spíš překvapen. Příjemně. Vůně intenzivně čokoládová, s karamelem a alkoholem. V chuti stále velmi, velmi sladký profil, plno čokolády, oříšků kávy a karamelu. Bohužel opět ten alkohol.

Slabsi..dominicana

Times an unsweetened, dry Dominican. A little too much alcohol, it takes some time before the aroma carried by coffee and cocoa comes to the fore. Not bad but certainly goes much better 🙂

Second tasting: very pleasing but the taste is within the expected range, except in the aftertaste I detect a honey note today (+1) Nose: not very exciting and alcoholic Palate: strongly spicy and quickly changes to bitter, burnt sugar Finish: focus on the barrel Solid Dominican rum without any great special features.
