If you chase high-ester fruit bombs, this Reunion pot-still is your playground. Strawberry bubble gum, overripe pineapple and fermented raspberry come screaming out of the glass — one member calls it "straight juicy fruit gum," and that's exactly it. At 57% it drinks surprisingly easy for the intensity, and it makes a monster daiquiri. Loud, artificial-sweet, and completely its own thing.

Very peculiar and special taste. Nose: jam, intense fruity, esters. In the finish it changes rather to salty and vegetable sticks. The fermented, vegetable in the finish does not suit me personally so.

31.12. 2019 Last tasting of 2019 went into 2020. Celebrating with family and friends who like rum we ended up having a great party according to my notes. Notes. Transparent in colour. Nose: fresh, intense, spice, strawberry, light olive, ester. Palate: fresh, warm, ester, fruity, spice, herbs. Finish: long and warm, fruity, herbs, light orange.

Nose: very fruity/berry-like. Especially the strawberries are clearly noticeable. Also some pineapple. Slightly artificial and overripe. Taste: very similar to the nose. Intense but artificial (straw)berries, esters, pineapple, fermented, very sweet, somewhat bitter Finish: long Very tasty but I don't need a bottle. Would gladly try again and also try other HERRs.

Crazy rum experience. Very intense strawberry aroma, almost fake like in candies or bubble gum. Then come candied dried pineapple and overripe pineapple in a sort of brine... Quite the aromas and flavors. The palate is aligned with the nose. This is packed with fruits, easy to drink at 57%.

Intense nose, strawberry gum, fermented raspberry, overripe pineapple, the sweetness of syrup. I had never encountered anything like this before. Extreme and therefore particularly horny. The whole room is filled with this smell!!!On the palate, this exaggerated artificial-fruity-sweet impression continues. Again, overripe strawberry and fermented pineapple. Here comes a slight spiciness and something slightly bitter-tart.In the finish remains the fruit, the sweetness feeling and a bit tart....

After pouring into the glass, the scent of overripe fruit, especially banana and pineapple, spreads throughout the room. 20min resting do not necessarily make it better, the varnish evaporates after a short time, alcohol hardly stings the nose.In the mouth then first a neat tingling, initially much less fruity than one might expect from the smell. After a short time in the mouth it becomes sweeter, creamier, the much quoted ice candy comes to it, the overripe, almost mushy fruit, especially the banana, are very present and also remain exceedingly long on the palate! A great, fruity-pleasant rum, needs m.E. no water.

In the nose, very ripe yellow fruits, even rotten, with cheese. In the mouth, the attack is very strong on the sugar. The fruit is not yet ripe. The more the mouth advances, the more the fruit is ripe, kiwi. Before the finish we find the same rot and cheese, it reminded me of noni (apple dog) very ripe and burst. The finish is medium and more classic, I like it more. We find the green fruit ripe but not rotten. Maybe some cytherea apple and quenette. The finish brings up my note.

Yo pals Savanna - HERR 57 - 🇷🇪 - 57% Here we have one of the biggest UFOs among the rums I've tasted, the HERR (High Ester Réunion Rhum) 57. And not just any, batch 1 that made its reputation! It was a big crush and it's the last survivor of what I brought back from the intense island. Savanna released a little marvel of big aroma with a high ester content (423.4 g/hlap) obtained after 11 days of fermentation. It reminds me of Jamaican. On the nose we find harlequin, olives, kiwi and red fruits. Everything we smelled explodes in the mouth and goes in all directions with intensity and an endless length. Quite atypical and maybe a bit rough for novice palates, sensitive souls beware. Cheers
