Heimat Distillers Diamond Ramero Rum Single Cask Riesling 2018
Sipped neat, this is an experiment: Guyana Diamond rum finished in a German Riesling cask, and the wine cask really runs the show. Expect dry, tannic and herbal, with juniper-like spice, a touch of caramel and coconut, and a distinctly sour, "very different" wine edge. Several tasters called it a bold idea that's cleanly made but doesn't quite land — interesting more than lovable.

How does Heimat Distillers Diamond Ramero Rum Single Cask Riesling 2018 taste?
Aggregated from 20 community reviews.
Dry, herbal Guyana with a sour Riesling twist Most find it a well-made curiosity: dry, tannic and wine-driven, but a bit unbalanced and short on complexity. A few enjoyed the Riesling twist; most saw a fair experiment, not a favorite.

09.03.2023 Having a few samples at home. Colour Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, dried fruit, light wood, spice, faint chocolate, faint caramel, clove. Palate Warm, round, light wood, faint smoke, raisin, light chocolate, faint earthy, light caramel, light herbal, medium dry. Finish Medium long, fresh, medium dry, dried fruit, light chocolate, faint coconut, light herbal, spice. Needs to rest for a while to really open up properly.

Messeverkostung, daher knapper: Stark!

Label „made in Germany“ passt nicht so ganz

Nose is very strange. On the palate a pleasant profile with notes from the wine cask and caramel.
