"Very nice and intense Enmore," one taster sums it up — a wooden-Coffey-still Diamond that's surprisingly light and fruity for Guyana. Expect anise, licorice, dried fruit and prunes over toffee, tobacco and roasted wood. Several members noticed peach and coconut. Most call it good but classic; a few felt 20+ years should give more. 8,4:On the nose, tea and herbaceous molasses, flowery, mineral, spicy wood with anise and baking spices, coconut, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, hints of menthol and licorice arise, cocoa, nuts and vanilla, dried, citrus and yellow fruits. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is rather monotonuos with slightly roasted wood, nutty and spicy with pepper, anise and vanilla, flowery molasses, dark with licorice, fruity with dried fruits, sweet with hints of sugar.When well oxidized, the picture gets better with confectionery, candied citrus fruits and tobacco. 8,4:The finish is long, balanced, dry, more exciting as the palate, the fruits are dried, citrus and yellow, some coconut is there, the wood is toasted with toffee, confectionery, oaky, nutty, spicy, as the molasses goes grassy and herbaceous, earthy with tobacco. A nice but not revolutionary Enmore-type Diamond. The nose is warm, fruity, spicy with the typical aniseed and licorice notes, a little grassy with hints of tea and a little sweet with very soft, subtle Demerara sugar notes. The attack on the palate is soft and light. The alcohol is well integrated. Prunes, aniseed, licorice, tobacco and floral notes enhance a round, oily, easy-drinking profile. There are also almost sticky molasses notes on the palate. It's good, but not transcendent either. The finish is of decent length. It is accompanied by toffee, nuts, dried fruit, wood, coffee, chocolate and toasted flavors. A well-structured but rather classic rum for an Enmore, from which more could be expected given its relatively long ageing.

A classic Enmore: warm, fruity, with anise, licorice, tea, and molasses. Soft and easy-drinking with well-integrated alcohol, toffee, roasted notes, and floral hints – good but not outstanding. Thanks to Serge for the sample.

Edit: but will have to try again in peace, as the Eldorado series was tried before. Was an unfair fight Franconian Tasting Gang A solid Diamond, but unfortunately not a runaway winner for a higher rating.

Not an over-rum, but clearly tastier than the Nobilis EHP, which is a year younger. Nice coconut note on the palate, nice nose. But still quite alcoholic on the palate.

Number 3 from the Diamond Unicorn Tasting Kit Vol. 2 from Rum Depot. Very nice and intense. I like it better on the palate than on the nose. Also very unobtrusive in the aftertaste. Well integrated alcohol, but in the end for me the SVL from the set has the edge.

Tasted with his two brothers on the Rhumfest. A nice surprise because it's very good and at the same time it's a bit different from other Enmore, it has its own personality. I will try to taste it better in the near future.

02.03.2023 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Light in colour. Nose Round, fresh, wood, light roasted, faint herbal, light anise, dried fruit, faint plum, spice. Palate Warm, round, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light anise, faint caramel, light plum, spice. Finish Medium to long, wood, raisin, faint caramel, faint chocolate, light prunes, light anise.

In contrast to the other two Guyanas in this series, the light color is immediately noticeable. On the palate, it is surprisingly fruity and reminds me very strongly of peach. On the nose, you can still tell that you're in Guyana, it has little in common with its heavy, molasses-laced compatriots and is rather very light and elegant, but still conveys complexity and flavor, while it is really very easy to drink and the alcohol is also well integrated.

Tasted alongside the 1996 Enmore El Dorado Rare Collection and the 2002 Enmore from Nobilis. Compared directly, worse than the El Dorado but better than the Nobilis. Maybe it needed much more time in the glass...

Tasted with the ROA at RhumFest. Need to retest. Clearly my favorite of the series. The wood is present but the profile remains gourmand and varied. Licorice rubs shoulders with spices, dried fruits and touches of tobacco. Very cool.

Romdeluxe Diamond Wild Series Rum Diamond comes across as a more approachable and drinkable expression of Guyana, with a profile that leans clearly toward wood driven maturity. Compared to some other Diamond bottlings, this one benefits from better overall integration. Overall, this is a more drinkable and wood forward Guyana, clearly shaped by maturation and distillation style. It may lack the layered depth and tension of more expressive Diamond releases, but it compensates with balance, warmth, and an easy, satisfying flow. A solid choice for those who appreciate mature Demerara profiles focused on oak, chocolate, and nuts rather than raw power or sharp edges.
