This New Yarmouth NYE/WK is a young, ester-heavy bottle at 58.1% — nail polish, glue and varnish up front, with pineapple and banana underneath. High Ester and PX finish always go well together. The rum seems very young and tastes very high ester. The sherry finish is rather subtly pronounced and could be more present for my taste.

#5882 22.10.2025 Enjoying a few samples while watching "Grimm". Nose Medium intense, light wood, smoke, fruits, light chocolate, light anise, light grass. Palate Oily, light wood, medium intense, smoke, light peat, dried fruit, light caramel, light chocolate, spice, light earthy. Finish Medium long, light wood, light citrus, light chocolate, light smoke, faint peat, light grass. Empty glass Prunes, chocolate, light caramel, tobacco, light licorice.

In the aroma, estery NY-WK atomic, very lepidic with some tropical fruits and grapes. Flavour-wise it's also technical madness, but the barrel after PX mellows it out a lot and adds sweetness. Something of a mulled wine on the finish.
