On the nose, I would be more likely to be blind to a cognac than a rum - let alone a Worthy Park. On the palate, the rum profile becomes clearer, but the typical cognac fruit flavors are still quite present. A very exciting bottling on the border between cognac and heavy, aromatically complex rums, which surprises me in a positive way.

Something bothers me about this Worthy Park, the spiciness pushes the fruitiness into the background. Definitely needs time in the glass. I'll probably put it to one side and let it develop a little more. Let's see if it helps. Edit: With a little time and a few drops of what is actually unusual for me, it gets better, but it still doesn't knock my socks off. Edit: Tried it again today as CubaLibre, but unfortunately it doesn't get me either. What a shame, actually.

Crazy nose: this is WP, no doubt about it. Very greedy. A framework of wood gives way to ripe fruit, pineapple in particular. Chocolate, coffee. It's really tempting. On the palate, the Worthy Park structure is once again evident. The rum is darker than the nose would suggest. It's fruity, light and gourmand, but also woody and peppery. The bitterness is enhanced by dark chocolate and coffee. Medium-long finish on notes of coffee and citrus, which combine superbly. As usual with Swell de spirits, a super selection. It's really very good.

#4068 Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money with this release. A fresh and fruity rum with nice spices ans a well balanced palate. The palate is lightly dry and naturally sweet with nice caramel and a light floral note. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass is nice and I can pick up some chocolate and coffee notes.

I never thought I'd celebrate worthy park... But this one is really delicious! Absolutely surprising, very balanced and elegant. The alcohol is perfectly integrated and the finish is relatively long.

Wow, one of the best Worthy Parks I've had in the glass so far. Great harmony of tropical fruit and a nice spice from the wood influence. The palate is intense, creamy and pleasantly dry. Absolute recommendation!

After the ABV has dissipated somewhat, a beautiful note of cake batter, tropical fruit (especially mango), caramelized banana, oak barrel and buttercup appears. Spicy on the palate, barrel influence, tannins, tart-dry finish. I like it quite a lot! Many thanks for the sample to Vienna!

Banana bread, fruity, citrus, beautiful cookie notes. Nail polish. Great nose. Interesting, very balanced and very fine. 😀😀😀 It continues similarly in the mouth. Very crisp, but little body. Long, tingling and great finish. Super WP!!! 😍

On aeration, citrus fruits, pineapple, candied fruits arise, fermented creamy dairy hints, molasses is vegetal, almonds, hazelnuts are obvious, burnt sugar, toffee, meaty hints, anise and allspice join, complex. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is slightly dirty with medicinal notes, rubber, tar, metallic, creamy with fermented tropical fruits like banana, pineapple, later sour with citrus fruits and lime, grapes, elegant with dairy hints(custard), roasted wood notes like caramel, nuts, coffee, chocolate, spicy with vanilla, allspice, anise, peppery, dry, as molasses is grassy, a bit minty. 8,8:The finish is long, dry&tannic, fruity with fermented tropical, citrus fruits, some are candied, medicinal with rubber, oak is toasted with pastry, coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, spicy with allspice, smoky, as molasses is grassy, flowery with violet hints, dark with black tea. A very good WP. In terms of taste, it could well have had a cognac finish. The nose is beguilingly fruity .... The palate is intense, fruity and spicy, with a hint of cognac here too. The finish is strong, fruity and intense. This is not a rum for beginners

Probably one of the best WP I've had in the glass so far - tropical fruits meet pleasant spice and wood aromas. Plus a bit of glue, caramel, and coffee and chocolate aromas strengthening towards the finish. If you can get it for the RP (119€), you should grab it!

Initially somewhat pungent and alcoholic on the nose, then becomes much rounder with time. Similar notes of caramel, wood, spices and fruit on the palate. Alcohol well integrated overall. One of the better WPs I've had in my glass so far.

A very nice Worthy Park. The nose is very indulgent, between exotic fruits, pastry and biscuit notes, chocolate, almonds, caramel, and spices, creating a very balanced profile. Floral notes, glue, and a slight woodiness blend perfectly into the scene. A superb olfactory profile. On the palate, you find a rum with beautiful roundness, quite complex and balanced. There's a bit more character on the palate, but it's not disturbing. You perceive tropical fruits and the acidity of citrus, woody, spicy, chocolatey notes, slightly roasted on nuts and caramel. The finish, of good length, is warmer, spicy, bitter on leather and dark chocolate, coffee, wood, with a touch of exotic fruits and caramel. Another very nice selection from Swell de Spirits, who managed to find a profile that is very indulgent, balanced, with personality and depth.

🐎 Worthy Park – The underdog we underestimate! We talk too little about WP, and it's a crime! 😱 I discovered this sample in total chill mode during my holidays, and immediately, big flash. I talked about it to Vincent from Inter Caves Limoges, and he approved immediately. Worthy Park is solid and deserves more love! 💙

A rum that has been on the market for some time and has received quite a wide range of ratings from experienced tasters. Exciting. The color is a gold with a dark undertone. So-so. On the nose more wood and spice than fruit. Actually reminds of a Cognac. On the palate, clearly more tropical fruit aromas, but again not in the foreground. In the mix with the wood spice and the rather dark base aroma quite tasty. The finish is quite long on the spicy and dark aromas. Also leather and chocolate. The ABV is noticeable and gives the rum a decent warmth. Certainly a pretty good WP, but I would have wished for more fruit. As expected, a few drops of water dampen the alcohol but for me don't change the profile much.

On the nose immediately a harmony of tropical fruits, pineapple in the lead, mango, with a very pastry-like side, nail polish (slightly too present for my taste) and a bit of cigar smoke. On the palate still these ripe fruits, the pastry side is still well present, wood and a bitterness that balances everything. The palate is dry and quite intense. The finish is long on tropical fruits and citrus. Again a very nice selection from Swell.

Wow oh wow, this speaks to me real loud. Probably the best WP I have had even though I would never guess WP. The nose is difficult to grasp for me, full of fresh yellow fruits, flowery and after a while creamy notes but still holds something I can't describe. The fruit continues in the taste strong but it is accompanied by roasted notes, even chocolate notes and its bit spicy.

Nose on caramelized banana, the casks, a rum/raisin ice cream side, some esters to identify the Jamaican origin. On the palate, grape, vanilla, caramelized banana, spices (nutmeg/cinnamon) A beautiful finish on the spices, superb rum!

A lot is happening on the nose, it seems complex to me. There's the classic Jamaican backbone in the background but not only that. I get tropical fruit, hard to say which one. I'd say mango/passion fruit, there's a solvent side like varnish too, and I have a smoky background. A gourmand side, frangipane or even marzipan with fruits. A slight essential oil side (don't know which but felt). The alcohol seems well integrated on the nose and doesn't take over. Quite complex and there's everything, it's evolving and changing. After long aeration, the nose has an incredible scent, the mix of all these aromas smells super good. On the palate, alcohol is more present than on the nose but still doesn't take over. I had a yeast entry but gourmand, not bitter as usual. Accompanied by a tropical fruit salad. I have a little spicy side like pepper/chili that stings the tongue. I also have a vinegary feeling (both in consistency and taste) quite strange since it's a bourbon cask. The finish is sometimes bitter, sometimes more gourmand with woodiness and vanilla on a fruit paste background.

Not the typical WP: the typical fruit notes are in the background but are overlaid by wood and leather; the whole leans more towards Guyana and away from Jamaica. Alcohol well integrated. Good rum, but I miss the fruits.

Quite expressive nose where glue dominates but the second nose is very flattering, announcing a very good rum. Unfortunately, the palate is very strong and persists on the glue, I don't find any fruit or a more pleasant finish... I should probably taste it at a different time than in the morning! Maybe too sensitive? Finish on varnish and warm.
