"A part of history," as one member put it — a 1960s Martinique bottling that nobody at the table quite knew how to score. The signature is a big orange note, so pronounced that several tasters suspect it was flavored rather than pure rum. Under that sits caramel, banana and a touch of varnish, and it drinks sweet and very easy, almost cocktail-like. A curiosity more than an everyday pour.

Intense orange note. In my opinion, not just rum, something was probably added flavor-wise. The pairing with the orange influence works very well for me and creates an extremely easy-drinking, cocktail-like profile with a present rum base. I like it, but it's a borderline flavor-wise.

First of all, very difficult to classify this one. Luckily got to try it again from Jakob before he packed the rest of the bottle at the Catawiki booth. Definitely interesting. But the orange note seems a bit artificial.
