"Fast wie Jaffa cakes" is how one taster nailed it — milk chocolate, coconut, caramel and a big hit of orange peel, that textbook Foursquare shape. It starts sharp-edged and needs 15 minutes plus a few drops of water to settle, then turns oily and rounded with dried fruit, vanilla and roasted oak. At 61% the alcohol hides well; nobody guessed it that high.

I find the Foursquare profile very good, but of course there is a risk that it becomes boring and that's why I try to restrain myself. Now I treated myself after a long time again a bottle.The profile very typical, no surprise. A few drops of water are necessary. Very balanced, alcohol well integrated and easy to drink. It also doesn't fall into the cheesy opulence of some sherry/port/etc. aged bottlings. Very good, only ECS 2004 and Plenipotenziario please me more.

First of all, many thanks to Vienna for the sample. I'm a bit torn because at first it is very sharp-edged. The typical Foursquare markers are very clearly recognizable. After longer time in the glass it develops into a solid Foursquare bottling and becomes dental prosthesis. Not bad, but also not really convincing for me. More suitable as a mixer.

Initially a bit sharp on the nose, but that quickly settles. Then caramel, coconut, milk chocolate, dried fruits. On the palate toffee and roasted notes that transition into coffee and cask. Nice 'classic' FS profile. Many thanks to Vienna for this.

In my opinion a beautiful Foursquare. Beautiful notes of caramel, milk chocolate and coconut on the nose. Dried fruit, caramel, vanilla and wood on the palate. Alcohol well integrated, wouldn't have guessed it at 61%. Thanks to Vienna.

#4288 07.10.2023 this was a 7 hour long event with 3 friends and it was a nice day. A really nice rum once rested for 15 minutes. Well rounded overall. Fruity with spice and roasted wood. The palate is oily and fresh with fruits and spices. The finish I'd medium to long and fruity. I picked up some chocolate in the empty glass.

Very nice and really extremely pleasing round 2007 Foursquare, great aromas of milk chocolate, coconut, caramel and above all orange peel and orange pulp. Very cool. Almost like Jaffa cakes or soft cakes only with extra orange!
