Coffee, vanilla, caramel and chocolate, complemented by light woody notes. The profile is strong. Unfortunately, it tastes sweetened and lacks complexity. A pleasant sipper for beginners, but experienced connoisseurs will definitely find it lacking in depth and individuality.

A very good rum. A nice coffee and vanilla note on the nose. The taste is of course also vanilla and coffee. There is also a slight hint of caramel. The rum is slightly sweet, but perfectly ok.

Comes across as very intense and woody. Also very smooth for its 46%, is probably a little sweetened. Notable aromas are those of dark chocolate and coffee. Pleasant but not earth-shattering.

I expected a rum with a quite pronounced coffee nose and it is far from that. Of course you find it but not that much. It is soft and round with a very slight woodiness. On the palate, very far from that, slightly spicy with a strong presence of wood, oak and then a slight coffee side. The finish in the glass remains woody, slightly vanilla and espresso.

Sample no.16 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2022. For a 46% abv it does not have that strong alcoholic punch on the nose but rather a faint sweet tone of oak and vanilla. Palate is fruity and roasted with some dark chocolate. Aged the last 40 days in ex-coffee liqueur casks but I cannot find any coffee on the palate. After the sip the coffee comes with oak and something sweet.

Molasses rum, nice but nothing special, on coffee - chocolate, not too sweet-molasses on the nose but more on the palate. Not very complex on the palate but interesting on chocolate-coffee.

Very nice scent of vanilla, chocolate and a bit of wood. A sweeter aroma without it being too much and very smooth. The taste is vanilla, coffee, dried fruit and finishes sweeter with caramel. The alcohol is well integrated. Medium-long finish on a very pleasant rum.

For a slight moment this has a hint of glue. But then we are back to the canon of sweetened rum without any character to dislike. They manage to do something which lacks any negative quality. But again a soul or character is amiss here
