#4731 20.05.2024 Relaxing at home with a few samples. Nose Fresh, fruity, banana, light vegetal, minerals, light sugarcane. Palate Fresh, round, fruity, pineapple, light vegetal, light grass, minerals, light salty, faint smoke. Finish Medium to long, round, warm, fruits, faint smoke. The empty glass has more smoke and a touch of cherry.

Die Nase ist gar nicht meins, würde auch sagen irgendetwas junges wildes. Gibt florale noten, Gummi und einen dominanten Geruch der alles überdeckt (und mir persönlich zu strange ist) faules Obst?! Essig? Im Mund ist frucht aber vor allem “der Geruch” dann auch zu schmecken, wo wir wieder bei essig wären. Alles in allem recht kurz und wild. Alkohl könnte auch einfach schlecht integriert sein. Abgang kurz. Für mich trifft es „Trinkbar/Mittelmäßig“ ganz gut.

Der komische Kalender Tag 18 O.k. unaged habe ich noch erkannt, aber Japan. No chance. Im ganzen ist er mir doch etwas zu modrig, war aber super interessant ihn probieren zu dürfen. Ich frage mich echt wie TheDunderhut an dieses Zeug immer wieder rankommt.

"This was really an interesting experience. This is a rather unique rum in the sense that there is a massive twist on the olive brine. Its not olive at all as so many of these newer producers tend to be. This is maritime, salty and rather okay. A tad too alcoholic, but still."
