Famille Ricci Hampden Hommage à Anthony Martins
Most tasters land near "one of the best Hampden blends I've had," with DOK leading the charge — pineapple, glue, nail polish and overripe tropical fruit stacked high. The main gripe is a heavy, almost honey-like sweetness a couple of people found penetrating. The 63.8% sits well-integrated, and the finish runs long and oily. A big ester bomb that stays drinkable.
The community says- Huge ester funk
- Long oily finish
- Keep in mind: Pushy sweetness

How does Famille Ricci Hampden Hommage à Anthony Martins taste?
From community reviews · summarized with AI
Big pineapple-and-glue Hampden ester bomb Strongly loved as a rounded, fruit-heavy Hampden blend — huge esters, glue and pineapple. A few find the sweetness too pushy and the profile slightly young.

Very cool Hampden Blend of , DOK 2009 and HJF 2008. Amazing notes in the notes, a lot of Ester, Glue, Nail polish, Pineapple, Overripe fruits. Typical Hampden Jamaica Funk feeling, what else 🤤🤤🤤 In the mouth the adventure continues, but a bit less powerful. A bit thin, soft… but Delicious😜 The finish is quite long and Hampden alike.

Nice ester/adhesive bomb ... Fruity and heavier than expected. DOK predominantly in nose as on palate . Pineapple, papaya mango ... Very tasty stuff !!! Oily creamy mouthfeel .Great blend !!!

Blend of unaged <>H, 2008 HJF and 2009 DOK. First impression: this has real muscle 💪 but at the same time very fruity: pineapple, lychee, ripe mango. In the background, some yogurt and pastry. On the palate not as extreme as expected, the 63.8% ABV is well integrated. The finish is almost a bit Long Pond-like with apple cider vinegar and gravy. I like it really well!

#6953 23.06.2026 Picked up the wife from work and my walk today was fast and very hot. Time for some samples and some Trance on Spotify. A very good rum with a nice price tag in my mind. Medium intense profile with nice esters, fruits, polish, light glue, roasted wood and light pastries.

Well, I think I've already written everything after tasting over 150 Hampdens by now. This one is great, alcohol wonderfully integrated, otherwise very funky with overripe tropical fruits like pineapple and banana, as well as glue notes detectable.
Review by Jakob
Beautiful fruit esters with heavy, almost honey sweetness reminiscent of cookie dough. Delicious, the sweetness is reminiscent of the Jamaica releases with sherry finish.

Yes, definitely a high ester HD blend. Nose: lots of ester and fruit acid, tropical fruits, especially pineapple, banana, and passion fruit. Added lime and kumquat. Where there are esters, vinegar is not far behind. There's a hint of candied lemon peel and fruit bread, slightly doughy. Round and tasty. 8.5 Palate: the nose is also found on the palate, just even more intense. Astringent and lots of esters. Pineapple, banana, and passion fruit. Also doughy again with artificial candied lemon peel, like in fruit bread. HD high without compromise. 8.5 A good blend, could easily pass as a single of the individual marks.

DOK is very present, but very horny blend. Unfortunately a touch too expensive. Thanks for the sample SaibotZtar

This rum did sit in the glass for a good 30 minutes before the review. On the nose: Oh, nice complexity already, this should be good. Medium intensity. Overripe pineapple and bananas are nicely blended together with sweet pastry and baking spices. Little bit of glue and esters. Taste: Glue notes, mild esters. Overripe tropical fruits like pineapples, mangoes, papayas are nicely blended with pastry notes and spice notes. Little bit of woody notes. Little bit of citrus notes. Complex. The abv is integrated very well. Finish: Esters, light pastry notes, baking spices. Tropical fruits. Toasted notes. Light woody notes. Slightly dry Really good rum from Famille Ricci again. The fruit notes were blended so nicely together with pastry ans spicy notes. Price to quality is excellent on this one.

Really nice Jamaica high ester blend! There's nothing to complain about! For me personally, this is probably one of the best-made Jamaica blends I've ever had in a glass, really an extremely successful rum with an almost eternal finish.

Amazingly good blend! Young but still extremely round and balanced!
Review by Skyfly
Probably one of the best HD, as Ricci blends I've had in the glass so far. A powerful ester bomb combined with a tropical fruit basket. Despite the young age and high ABV, the rum feels extremely balanced! A must-drink for HD fans!

Great start and super interesting on the palate, tropical fruits are there, still with glue and ester in the background. The rum fills the whole space until the back of the mouth. The alcohol is sharp but not disturbing and dries out the tongue. Great finish, soft and oily.
Review by Righrum
Another hit for Famille Ricci when it comes to Hampden. They're well renown as Blender and this Hommage confirms the fame. The traits are the usual of Continental Hampdens, pinapple juice and esters. In the mouth the esters bite a bit, but overall there is a great drinkability
Review by Mentalo
A blend dominated by the DoK. Lots of ester notes and integrated alcohol. But it didn't completely convince me because it has a relatively overpowering sweetness. Also a fresh wood note. But above all, the sweetness bothered me.
Review by BnBrt
Nose super funny rubber and model glue. We want the esters, we got them. Superb attack and hyper interesting in the mouth, the tropical fruits are there with always the glue and esters in the background. The rum takes all the space to the back of the mouth. The alcohol is lively but not disturbing and dries the tongue. Great finish where I find the tropical fruits on a background of model glue. I love it.

Fruity (overripe tropical fruit) and fun estery Jamaica, less than 64% not much to know, drinks well.
Review by Romain de L
The nose is tough for me : super chemical, rich, but (to me) not enticing. The rum itself is much nicer. Very rich. Fruits, molasse, papaya, rich flavor, strong. Very long finale, persistent and powerful - very nice.

Very representative of the person this bottle pays tribute to :))

Longue finale. Si je chipotais un peu, je dirais, dommage d avoir utilisé du h blanc. Un vieux aurait clairement donné une autre dimension au blend. Le résultat est tout de même aussi bon qu intéressant.

Very good blend, great mix of Hampdens
Review by Chrizzz84
My entry into the high ester sector some time ago. It was clearly too strong for me "back then". Now, after a few months, I have to say that it's still a board. It challenges me a lot, but it is still interesting. A huge amount of ester in the nose and on the palate. Cherry lollipops on the second sip too, very late on the back. I still like it on the finish. The olive is also there now. Glass is empty and smells very olive-y. From repulsive to enthusiastic. It goes that quickly :)

S 8.0 out of 10, it's a very good bottle, though not top of my ranking.
