14.03.2020 Had a nice afternoon and evening with friends. Notes. Beautiful colour and curtains in the glass. Nlse: wood, roasted, dried fruit, spice, rubber, tar. Palate: oily, spicy, medium dry, rubber, wood, roasted, tar, orange. Finish: long and warm, light smoke, wood, rubber, chocolate.

Excellent nose! Spicy, intense and dark. Very well integrated alcohol on the palate. A tad too dry for a top rating.

... Caroni je destilerie z Trinidadu, produkujici v dobe sve nejvetsi slavy rum, ktery se pridaval v pomeru 1:10 do namornickeho blendu. Byl totiz moc vyrazny a divny nez aby byl prijemny na jazyku. V roce 2000 destilerka skoncila s produkci a byla uzavrena. Az v roce 2010 se objevili degustatori, kteri si rum oblibili prave pro jeho specialni chut. A zajem rostl. Caroni patri do kategorie rumu "you need to try before you die". Doporucuji, Caroni je opravdu unikatni rum.

I was looking forward to trying this one and I must say I'm not disapointed. A very well-balanced Caroni 2000 between fruits, round and dirty notes. I was really surprised to find saltyness on the palate but I really enjoyed it. To sum up, a very nice Caroni 2000. Among the bests I have tasted so far with the Whisky Antique and The Nectar releases !
