Crazy agricultural! Wonderful balance between wood and sugar cane! You can feel all the mastery of neisson here and it makes us realize what this distillery is capable of with so many years of aging!

04-05.11.2022 Den Danske Rom & Whiskyfestival 2022. Another return to this big event where many people go to get drunk. Once again we had a special event for a select set of people. Notes. This is an amazing rum and it's incredible how complex they can meke these rums. Fruity and very well balanced. Nice roasted wood with lovely floral notes. This is an expensive bottle, but we'll worth a try if you get the chance.

On the nose, it's full-bodied, warm, and very intriguing with woody and decidedly fruity notes, but also sweet and floral; after airing, you can also perceive some spices, tobacco, cocoa, and a very fine toastiness, magnificent. On the palate, it's equally warm, seductive, and enveloping, despite some sharper spicy notes. It's dominated by a mix of sweet, dark, and unripe fruit (red and otherwise) that perfectly marries the full-bodied fine wood; on the long and persistent finish, there are floral and spicy notes, some slightly vanilla-flavored. A true unique gem in its refinement. Compared to batch1, it's less sweet, soft, and round, but more woody, agricultural, and spicy, without the classic hazelnuts. The maturation in ex-bourbon barrels is noticeable, and the spicy notes of red fruits create a subtle reference to the 3R12yr. In the empty glass, light wood/fruit/fermented notes. Line Up Neisson. Last member of the line-up. Needs Boone aeration to express itself fully. Neck and neck with the 19yo. Wow effect guaranteed for both. The very best of the farm, so far.
