Carrere Montebello LA RENCONTRE (Distillerie du Gorvello) 2015
Highly praised agricole with intense apple and red fruits, well‑integrated 49,1% ABV and balanced wood. A distinctive, fruity finish that many find both surprising and very moreish.
Agricole-curious drinkers who enjoy fruity, apple‑forward profiles and want a characterful but not overwhelming step beyond standard column-aged rums.

Overall a great, round and smooth Agricole that’s very exciting because of the odd casks it has been finished in. This cuvée is the second La Rencontre that so far have reached Europe. Waiting excited for the four forthcoming. This one has after aged for about seven years been finished for 125 days in Pommeau de Bretagne casks from the Gorvello distillery. Pommeau is a blend of Calvados and apple cider at ABV 17%. It was distilled in August 2015 and bottled in just 1650 bottles in September 2022 as a cask strength at 49,1% blended from four barrels.
Ça me rappelle toujours bielle.
