Considering the price, this is a rum that rates in the upper mid-range. If it were more expensive, then maybe a 7, but as it is, a full 8 points. You can easily offer it for quick enjoyment.

Blind tasting of El Ron del Artesano. A beautiful fruity nose, dried apricots and tropical fruits, young wood, spices and an alcohol not quite integrated. The palate is soft, a bit diluted and the aromas struggle to overcome the alcohol. Dried fruits, wood and a spicy side and that's about it. The finish is short, leaving only a slightly sweet woody note at the very end. A beautiful nose for a rather disappointing rum on the palate.

Very light rum, lies lightly on the nose without burning. Light fruity notes. Also slightly downgraded this rum. Still of course very tasty. Tropical fruits dominate here.

Very nicely balanced, lots of light and dark fruit, slight spice and very pleasant wood, a bit of vanilla, light body, some acidity, dry.
