Edit: Rest and a few drops will do him good. Unfortunately I had to adjust it down a bit. Now that I've finally been able to try a TenCane from another bottler, it remains a very good rum for me. In general, it appeals to me very much. With a little water it unfolds its aromas. Only the alcohol could be better integrated.

A very pleasant nose in which pear is very present. A certain vegetal freshness as well. The pear remains on the palate, accompanied by spices. Nicely fruity but alcohol poorly integrated which spoils the tasting a bit.

#4580 26-27.01.2024 Hanse Spirit Never heard of this brand so I had to give it a go and bring home a sample. Pretty well balanced rum at an OK price tag. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint roasted notes, citrus, fruitcake, light herbal and caramel. Palate Fresh, wood, light roasted, fruity, light mint, caramel, lightly vegetal. Finish Medium to long, wood, dried fruit, light herbs, mint.

An interesting bottling with pear, herbs, licorice, and caramel, but also Haribo cola bottles in nose and palate. Unfortunately, the alcohol is really a bit too sharp-edged. Even long breathing does not make it better. Actually more pleasant with a little water.

Solid rum, at first I found it quite unspectacular until I noticed it tastes strongly of mulberry, after longer oxidation time.

Pear meets caramel - the first olfactory association runs through the further taste experience, but gets more aromatic support on the palate and shows both vegetal and green fruit notes. Unfortunately a bit fiery in the finish and without perfect balance, still appealing.

A few drops of water are, in my opinion, really beneficial for the rum. A herbal honey/cola note comes through both on the nose and palate. Good rum that offers a nice change compared to the TDLs.

A very tasty daily sipper, but one without edges, corners or other features that make it "special." Why one should drink it with a splash of water is a mystery to me. I also find the alcohol well integrated. Well suited to introduce newcomers to Trinidad Cask Strength.
