Rhum Attitude T.D.L Rhum Attitude Bruxelles 2006
Most tasters land in "good, not great" territory here: a 16-year Trinidad TDL that's woody and sweet, with caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and a cooling menthol streak running through. The recurring gripe is the alcohol — at 64%, several felt the heat wasn't fully tamed and covered some nuance. One reviewer even said it drank more like Foursquare than a typical TDL.
- Caramel-vanilla sweetness
- Cooling menthol note
- Long warming finish

How does Rhum Attitude T.D.L Rhum Attitude Bruxelles 2006 taste?
Aggregated from 32 community reviews.
Woody, sweet Trinidad with a hot, minty edge Well-liked as an easygoing, oak-and-caramel Trinidadian with a minty edge. The catch several noted: at cask strength the alcohol isn't fully integrated and it lacks real complexity.

Last one in my TDL line up today. A handfill from the Rhum Attitude shop in Brussels a friend brought me. 16 years old. Nose: despite the heavy alcohol this one seems the most closed. Needs time. Cinnamon is the first that pops up. Some fruit. Everything is faint. Let's just taste. T: okay weirdly enough this reminds me loads of FourSquare instead of TDL. Much lighter in style. American Oak. Lots of wood. Bit of mint. Coffee. Such a different style than the other TDL I had. Almost like it's a blend with FS. Weird one. Good but least of the bunch. Will try again. Maybe the one before this killed all nuance.

A solid TDL representative, which is still predominantly sweet on the nose with a heavy caramel sweetness, but then opens up a little more on the palate and offers subtle fruit aromas and menthol notes alongside spices. It seems very balanced, which leaves me a little too little room for the deeper aromas - but the release remains very appealing.

I like it lot! Non technical Trinidad sweety taste.

This is still way out of my league..not bad, but it's not my glass of rum. I will recommend it for tasting, it's a completely different rum than the others I've tasted. The aroma is dominated by vanilla, leather a little wood..like when you smell a barrel of rum. The flavor is an explosion - alcohol mixes with wood, mint and spice..the finish is pleasantly long..the flavor lingers on the palate for a long time

Ve vůni drěvo kůže a trocha máty. V chuti je intenzivní alkohol, máta, drěvo a intenzivní sladkost. Ačkoli mám raději technické trinidady tak je tenhle super. Je to dřevité, je to sladké, je to příjemné.

Alcohol unfortunately not well integrated. Light mint, wood, chocolate. Overall lacks complexity.
Review by Righrum
Here the alcool bits a lot. On the nose, wood is the main trait, together with a certain sweetness (caramel, honey) and an hint of mint, really light. Drink side, alcool again strikes immediately, covering a bit the profile which is wood driven, but the fresh mint trait is again here balancing the sweetness. Was the alcool Better integrated, this would have been a good rum.
