Edit: this drop is really fine. A completely different style that I usually don't go for, but support your locals. Sebastian's first potstill attempt. I think if this rests longer in a good cask, something really good could come out of it. I'm curious how it will continue.

Yeah, you can bring that one, but I wouldn't get a bottle of it, it's still too sweet despite the 55%. I can detect vanilla on the nose, on the palate there's a barrel taste added and for me also plenty of chocolate.

Really interesting drip. However, it shows a lot of similarities with a whisky. Beautiful woodiness with nice pastry notes and plenty of spice. Overall, though, too one-dimensional for me. But something different that I personally can imagine very well with other finishes.

Great insight into the Artesano Pot still future. Already after just a few weeks of barrel aging with nice depth, one can look forward to the future. The vanilla really comes through nicely here, you might almost think someone knows what they're doing with barrel aging 😀

What can I say, simply delicious what Sebastian has put into the bottle here. A thoroughly successful rum that is so round and at the same time soft, with great notes of wood and vanilla that develop in the glass and then also in the mouth, so that you never notice its 55.1%. Looking forward to more pot still rums and at the same time I have to say that I wouldn't want to miss any other rum I've ever had from El Ron del Artesano in my hand or mouth.

As a side to the New Year's bottlings I was able to get this attempt from Sebastian, his first pot-still brand. For a first test, which actually wasn't supposed to be sold, I find the Futuro really very good! Pleasantly round, initially vanilla and wood and typical Lauinger vibes on the palate, I'm really very curious about the development!
