El Ron del Artesano Panama Rum - Amativo Cask 2010
Surprise here is how loud the red-wine cask gets: plenty of plum, cherry and a faint salty edge over a Panama base that usually plays it dry and soft. Several tasters love the wine integration, others find the spirit "wild and alcoholic" at full strength. One member calls it a "great sipper," and more than one rate it highly as a mixer. The 58% is felt, not hidden.
- Red-wine cask
- Plum and cherry
- Good mixer

Plum-and-cherry red-wine cask, cask-strength Panama Most enjoy the well-set red-wine finish, all plum and cherry, though a few say the cask buries the Panama spirit and the alcohol runs a bit hot and unbalanced.

That was a surprise. After pouring it the drop was pretty alcoholic, almost medical. After a while it got mich sweeter, fruity and the cask made it’s way through the spirit. Overall a great sipper a fair pricing. Thanks to zabo ;)
