An agricultural rum with an excellent quality / price ratio. A nose at the same time soft, balanced and which oscillates between the spices, the woody side, the chocolate, the freshness, the pastry notes and the dry grape. The mouth follows the same framework, followed by notes of tobacco. A round and supple rum, which ends with a fresh and minty finish. A rum that has nothing to envy other rums more "upscale".

Seems like a scotch whiskey with vegetal, peppery, and toasted notes very far off; I think the bar mixed the contents or directly replaced it 😔 I leave this provisional rating without value while waiting for a proper tasting.

First off, you get a lot for your money with this release. Fresh and fruity with nice caramel and spices. The wood is secondary and well balanced ABV. Would have loved it at 50+ABV.

Very pleasant smell when opening the bottle. Wood, pineapple, exotic fruits, acidity. On tasting, sensation of freshness then the alcohol takes over with the wood before letting the sugar and fruits coat the palate. It's very pleasant. Aerated, the rum gains more body: coffee, even more wood. More sugar too. We almost reach a molasses rum. Very pleasantly surprised and happy with this tasting.

Compared to the VSOP this one is a lot more complex and dryer in taste. The finish is very long and price/quality is very good.

Little bomb. Let it sit in your mouth, then it becomes an (apple?/apricot?) pie. Very full, round flavor. A bit sharp. Quite tasty.
