Retasting this one today and I stick to my initial score. Typical Agricole with fruits, floral and fresh grass notes. You gat all the flavours as soon as you open the bottle. Leave for 15 minutes and then nose it. Leave the glass for a few hours after finishing it and it's even better on the nose. Price to quality is extremely good.

Have some few favorits (Savanna, Bellevue and most Haiti) We are not fans of this one. Sorry for the low rating, but we really don’t like it. Nice to be challenged and to try something different

A fine unaged Agricole with a very well-integrated alcohol level. Herbal, plant-like notes balance out with fruity hints of lemon, pear, and rhubarb. There are also juicy sugarcane notes reminiscent of fresh-cut grass, a delicate nuttiness, and a few spices. Not just good for mixing, but really tasty neat too.

Excellent white very mineral. On the nose you seem to taste the sea. It didn't blow me away as much as clairin, but it remains a great white made by Villa and Gargano.

Wow This is really a great rhum blanc!! 🤤 Typical agricole with nice notes of hazelnut, lemon and pears (Reminds me on those classic william pears 🤔) The 56% are notable, but not overwhelming (still watered down) The finish is quite long and leaves behind all those wonderfull notes starting from sugarcane to hazelnut and ending with fresh lemons and pears.

One of my absolute favorites among restocked agricoles. Whether in Ti Punch, other cocktails or straight, always a pleasure. Alcohol is very well integrated here. You should always have a few bottles in stock.

A rum that doesn't really blow me away, in my opinion quite interchangeable. Nothing I necessarily have to have in my collection now. But for the price it's available at, totally fine and probably good as a mixer.

Another very good Agricole Blanc with a pleasant fruity sweetness, lots of vegetal freshness and a decent drinking strength. The alcohol is well integrated. It also comes across well in the TiPunch, although not as intensely as in a Brut de Colonne

A nose of apple alcohol, herbaceous and with a hint of citrus (lemon). The palate is very smooth, with refined, sweet aromas dominated by yellow fruit. The finish is long and refined. The empty glass is expressive on yellow fruit and sweet herbs. A rum that's not exactly complex but refined, and the alcohol is extremely well integrated.

Very good unaged rum.The nose very grassy, fruity with an impact in the direction of Obstler. On the palate, I particularly notice a salty note. Interesting, in the aftertaste it changes again into the sweetness!This rhum is a phenomenal starting product for mixed drinks!

I have had not many white Agricoles, but this one is delicious. Interestingly I did not feel the alcohol, it is really good integrated... And it makes a good Ti Punch as well!

On the nose very similar to a pear brandy with a nice sugarcane note. On the palate this is confirmed with a subtle herbal note, light lime. For an unaged agricole, quite complex. Alcohol is very well integrated for the ABV with a slight sharpness. Perfect.

As a fan of Bielle rums, I was keen to try this one following the many positive comments. It's a good white rum, with the classic fresh cane and vegetal notes. The nose is fruitier than the palate, with green pepper, lemon zest and metallic notes. Good, but not quite up to its price...

Let's take a moment to revisit our 12th tasting held on Saint Nicholas Day dedicated to Rhum Rhum! My personal ranking (price/pleasure ratio): 1) Libération 2017 FP 2) Libération 2017 45% 3) Libération 2020 FP 4) Libération 2020 45% 5) PMG 56% 6) PMG 41% What is Rhum Rhum Libération? It all started in 2004 when Luca Gargano (The rum hunter from Velier) and Gianni Capovilla (Illustrious master distiller) decided to produce a unique agricole rum in Marie-Galante (at the Bielle site): a very long fermentation of pure sugarcane juice (without adding water) followed by discontinuous distillation in a bain-marie and small copper stills. This led to the release of Liberation 2010 (which refers to the rum's release date, i.e., the bottling year, not the distillation date which was 2007). Since this first 2010 liberation, versions 2012, 2015, and our favorite rum of tonight's tasting, the 2017, have been released. There are 2 versions of this Libération 2017: the reduced version at 45% (grey label) and the cask strength, Full Proof version at 58.4% (red label), whose tasting note will be described below. This rum distilled in 2010 was aged for 7 years in barrels that previously held great French white wines (Sauternes: Chateau d’Yquem, Domaine Leflaive). The rum was "liberated" from the barrels in 2017, hence its name. Special mention for the label and box graphics that vary with each batch, a true signature of the brand, recognizable from a thousand! This 2017 batch is emblazoned with a majestic falcon. OK, the story is beautiful as is the packaging but what about the tasting?! There are aromas of beautiful, fruity fermentation on the nose. It's like a concentrated grenadine, hints of king cake, and old wood! The rum has fully opened up and gives a harmonious nose. You dip your lips in and the attack on the palate is soft and indulgent. The wood is balanced with a touch of acidity. The whole is rather mellow. The finish is not long enough to fully enjoy the vanilla and b

Rhum rhum in a nutshell, the PMG 56°. This is a recenti batch, but overall quality stays high. Marine notes accompanied by (powder) sugar, the same you find in the aged ones, prevails on the nose along with floral and herbal traits. The palate is consistent with the nose and adds some peppery notes

Tasted after some time and different batches, on nose and palate same as previous, very citrusy and fruity. Balanced and with well-integrated alcohol. I find it quite fresh and summery and very different from aged products, in fact they should be split into two different categories in my humble opinion. Medium finish and not excessively long but pleasant. (PS: the rating, like the impressions, are purely personal).

Agricole meeting and tasting with Kevin in Blåvand, Denmark Wow, THIS is a real bang for your buck! The rum needs time in the glass to develop. Then you're rewarded on the nose with sugarcane and agricole notes. Along with fruits, there's a strong pear aroma that almost reminds me of Williams Christ. Plus glue and solvent – almost like Clairin Sajous, more of a Chelo than a Casimir. Very tasty, this has to be the star in Ti Punch

Nose: The distinct scent of fresh hazelnut, which opens the bouquet, can be perceived from a considerable distance, an indication of the rum's excellent intensity. This is followed, in the background, by notes of cut grass, as one would expect from in agricultural, earthy, with a hint of acetone, as if to remind one of the nature of distillate. With oxygenation, the rum opens up to fruity hints, such as Pineapple and unripe banana.Mouth: at first sip, the sensation is enveloping, the warmth released is well balanced, In the mouth it comes across as the right mix of acidity and savoriness. Fresh hazelnut reconfirms itself as the predominant note.

Very good rum but it doesn't make me drool.... Nose: lemon, pear and floral. You don't feel the alcohol. Palate: if you take a good sip and let it flow well on the tongue you get an almost intense explosion of pepper, with generous lemon, more discreet pear, very very slight solvent. You don't feel the alcohol. Finish: mainly lemon with a bit of pepper and a bit of pear. Empty glass: mainly lemon and very slight pear. Conclusion, need to revisit to form an opinion. (That didn't help... First lemon rum I taste and just before I tasted 'orage vodka citron de syracuse' from Ferroni.... well played....)

My RumRating Review 3y ago: The Agricole is not severe or unpleasant in the nose. Fresh floral grass notes with lemon are perceptible. Also light glue and a fine spice. If the Rhum gets time to breathe, it also becomes less snapy. On the palate, the rhum is pleasantly sweet with a clear spicy note. Balanced and floral, the rhum is surprisingly complex with a little salt and pepper. The finish is then a bit short but pleasantly dry and balanced. An amazingly good white rhum, which shows all the art of making a great distillate. Absolutely recommended.

After all that amber, a little white... I didn't hold back in view of the name and the love affair with rhum rhum libération... I wanted to discover the pure, unadulterated nectar.... An incredible floral, sugarcane nose.... A little licorice and pepper... Incredible for 56°, very pleasant... It invites you to taste it... Let's go... Yippee, the markers of amber rum are there! Strong but light. A pleasure. To get there, you have to face up to the power of alcohol and lastringence. But it's almost a kif! A finish worthy of its degrees... Long, candy cane and astringency... A pleasure... In moderation.

Fruit and sugarcane juice jump out of the glass on the nose. Lots of lemons and pears and a subtle hint of freshly cut herbs. Less fruit on the palate. The sugarcane juice has taken over, mixed with wild flowers and hazelnuts. The finish is mid in length and a touch metallic and dry but not unpleasant. Overall its a great white rum to sit back and sip neat. Really good stuff.

Very complex and interesting rum! Probably too advanced for my palate yet I enjoy what I can. Funky like any Jamaican, fruity and cherry, at the same time chocolate-y and some mocha-espresso thing going on. Musky and earthy slight undertones. Pretty incredible. Plays nicer than 56% usually would for me but maybe still has a touch too much of a bite.

This is all about fragrance and delicacy. On the nose is subtle vegetal, floreal and fragrant. On the palate there is no astringency, alchol is perfectly integrated. Clean refreshing medium finish, without any trace of bitter fusel oils
