08.12.2025 Another retasting and I think price to quality is kind of OK. -------------- Retasting and it lost some points 😊 I'm still amazed at how good CDI is at creating rum bottlings that are so different from each other. A well balanced and pretty complex rum for its age and all natural without anything added. Fruity and definitely a smoky rum well worth a try.

Very round, but simply 90% Islay (Laphroaig) taste. If you’re into that, a blast :D For me personally the whisky finish dominates too much, but it is extremely well integrated. Even better than the bdc6 in my opinion and also fairer in price.

The Boulet de Canon No. 7 was clearly more to my taste. I don't like the peat flavor (reminds me too much of smoked ham...)

Very interesting and quite unsettling with this very marked finish. Being a big fan of peated whisky (this is more smoky) and at this price it's great. I think I'll enjoy it more as an aperitif.
