HSE Château La Tour Blanche - Brut de Fût 2009

The Sauternes cask is the whole story here, and it divides people. Overripe grapes, raisin and a heavy, almost dosed sweetness run through the palate — one taster swears it was paired with a Beerenauslese dessert wine. Wine lovers call it a delight; a couple find it borders on too sweet. Underneath sits agricole cane and soft oak from ten years in barrel.

a clear example of HSE's aging and finishing masterskills. delicious and balanced, this rum opens up like a charm. you can literally find Sauterne's notes in the nosing and tasting. a true delight if you're, like myself, a wine aficionado. worth every penny to be honest.

Parfait équilibre au nez et en bouche. L’intensité aromatique est intense, vraiment excellent.

Avg Rating 8.0/10 over 330 Rums

Le Simon is Martinique's ghostwriter. It is the island's most technologically advanced distillery, yet it sells no rum under its own name, runs no public tours, and ages nothing on site. Instead it distils two of the most beloved names in Martinique agricole, HSE and, until recently, Clement, on stills moved here from their original homes. What you taste as HSE is, in fact, Le Simon.
