Tasting evening with Dr. Django: This HSE is a real surprise. I have the feeling that a rum has been paired with a Beerenauslese. I still find the nose relatively flat. A heavy sweetness on the palate at first, almost as if a dosage had been added. But then this heavy sweetness of overripe grapes intensifies in the finish to the aforementioned noble rot of a Beerenauslese. The whole thing is peculiar, but good

A clear example of HSE's aging and finishing master skills. Delicious and balanced, this rum opens up like a charm. You can literally find Sauternes' notes in the nosing and tasting. A true delight if you're, like myself, a wine aficionado. Worth every penny to be honest.
