This Clement is quite ok, but somehow not my cup of tea. It's mainly woody on the nose. Some vanilla is also recognizable. The palate is also predominantly woody and oaky, but also some vanilla again.

Retasting at the German Rum Fest 2024 --------------------------- This one was a huge surprise. Only 6 years old and the packed with flavours. Oak and fruits from nose to finish. A really well made XO. Price to quality is very good I'd say.

8,3:The nose of this rhum agricole is fresh and minty, green apple arises. It's also loaded with real smoke, spices, also fresh (curry). It's complex, vegetal and decidedly fresh, like cut grass or Alpine tea. Then a lovely woodiness enters the scene. Finely spiced, it is reminiscent of a cigar box with a hint of vanilla. This woodiness grows stronger, appearing whiter and younger. The cane becomes more powerful, accompanied by its faithful white pepper. A certain naturalness is restored with this wood and fresh cane. On aeration, sophistication returns with licorice spiked with caraway seeds. We return to the depths of the oak barrel. The woodiness is softened by honey. Its freshness now brings up again apple and pear. 8,1:The palate is well-balanced, typical agricole with as much room for cane as for spice and wood. A certain acidity stimulates the taste buds, which seem to deliver a sweet juice where wood and vanilla merge. 8,2:The spices persist, little vanilla joined in the end by past fruits, some nice peaches, licorice, that had remained discreet until then... Edit:6.4.25, an upgrade

I almost forgot the cast sample before disposing of the bottle. Very fine aroma of fruit, apple, nutmeg. The taste is also more subtle. Again, apple, peanuts and bergamot tea, cognac. Similar finish. A very fine rum for easy sipping.

Colour: Old gold N: quite refined and clean. Grassy, melon, citrus, just a hint of glue. A bit of sandal wood, blossom, syrup. T: still clean, with a nice peppery note. Cane juice, grass, mint, cognac, orange, a medium woody note. Very nice! F: short to medium, pretty close to the taste on the palate. I actually like this. It's light, but quite clean and refined without too much cask influence. Nice as aperitif or starter, or as a daily sipper. 7.8

Very shy on the nose to me, and a nice difference in taste compared to the usual stuff I taste. It is just difficult to distinguish specific notes, due to lack of experience with french rum. Can't wait for more Agricole!

Compared to other Martinque's XO, this one is less fruity and clearly on the tart, earthy side with leather and smoke, but also a bit of caramel. In the mouth typically dry and spicy. Too dry for me, you have to like. Good I find the honey and coffee in the finish.

A good agricultural rum, for once the XO label is well deserved. On the nose, woody and vanilla aromas are well present and develop a little more on the palate. The alcohol is well integrated, making it good value for money.

The nose is balanced. The fruity, spicy and woody notes answer each other harmoniously. The mouth is still woody, and greedy. The finish is still woody, and vegetal. We find notes of bourbon.

Aromatic profile carried by a dry, spicy woodiness with hints of vanilla. Very well-balanced finish

A well-established XO that's very pleasant to drink, with a very classic palette from our beloved Martinique!

Meike an der Nase, Gewürze, Früchte vor allem Apfel, am Gaumen sehr süß und fruchtig. Zuckerrohr und im Abgang auch Asche.

A shy nose. Ah yes j'ai quelque chose, ah ben non en fait (des agrumes (clémentine) fugaces pas désagréables quand même) 😅 un corps avec une belle sucrosité, et un petit kick épicé sympa mais ça reste relativement simple. A good time is had, but it doesn't break the bank as they say 😉 it's available at 70 right now and for me it's too expensive compared to others xo

On the nose, we can smell the woody flavors like the other Clément I tasted, but also vanilla and other sweet and spicy aromas, it is inviting, there are also fruits but it is not a crazy nose for the moment. First mouth, good surprise, the alcohol is present but it reinforces a certain spicy freshness, it is quite fat finally, fruity, the wood does not crush everything. It is rather strong and incisive for only 42°, but hot, woody, there are really several tastes which follow one another in mouth. You can't really taste the fresh cane. The finish is like an agrico
