#5577 21.08.2025 Relaxing to some pretty nice EDM mixes from 2024. Nose Wood, light roasted, light vanilla, light tar, medium intense, light caramel, faint olive, fruits. Palate Medium intense, oily, woody, faint smoke, light tar, light petrol, light caramel, faint cherry, light olive, dried fruit. Finish Long, wood, light roasted, light caramel, light olive, faint salt, light plum, light tar. Empty glass Light olive, prunes, light tar, faint caramel. Needs to rest for a good while to settle the ABV and really open up the flavour profile. A few drops of water can also open up a lot.

Typical Caroni profile, but much more sour. ... Caroni is a distillery from Trinidad, producing at the height of its fame a rum that was added at a ratio of 1:10 to the mariners' blend. It was too strong and strange to be pleasant on the tongue. In 2000, the distillery ceased production and closed. Only in 2010 did tasters appear who took a liking to the rum because of its special taste. And the interest grew. Caroni belongs to the category of "you need to try before you die" rums. I recommend it, Caroni is a truly unique rum.
