What surprises most people is how round this white agricole drinks at 45% — the alcohol sits well hidden. Expect fresh sugarcane, lime and grapefruit with a green, vegetal edge and a faint whiff of the sea. One taster even called it a "coup de coeur." A couple of hints of anise and iodine round it out. Not for anyone who dislikes unaged white rum.

Rum calendar 2025. White rums are never good to my taste. This rum is at least a good one among the worst whites. Unfortunately, it’s not for me.

Very nice base for a Ti Punch or even two. Grassy notes, some citrus, green, in the finish light notes of cardboard and pencil shavings, minimally bitter. Alcohol is well integrated. The rum also feels very round neat.

#5384 08.06.2025 Enjoying a few random samples while watching the new movie "The Accountant 2". Nose Fresh, faint smoke, fruits, citrus, light anise, vegetal, light sugarcane. Palate Fresh, light sugarcane, light oily, light, vegetal, light citrus, spice, light anise. Finish Medium long, fresh, light oily, light vegetal, citrus, spice, faint salt. Empty glass Citrus, iodine, light anise, vanilla.

Description: Limited production: Only 3,000 numbered bottles were produced, each individually identified, making it a collector's edition. Distillation and resting: The rum was double distilled in a pot still (discontinuous) in March-April 2022, then placed in stainless steel tanks from May 2022 for a 6-month rest. Controlled reduction: The proof was slowly and progressively lowered to 45% ABV using spring water from Saint-Claude, a mountainous area of Basse-Terre known for its pure water. Cane used: This is a single-varietal rum made exclusively from cane B80.689, locally nicknamed "matos," grown by two partner planters of the distillery in Goyave. Bottling philosophy: No additives (sugar, caramel, etc.) are used. The rum is unfiltered and unrectified, preserving all the integrity of its natural aromas. Event context: This cuvée was launched in 2022 for the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe, paying tribute to the spirit of maritime adventure. Light, citrus, lemon, fresh Finish: medium length on citrus and lemon. Conclusion: bought at rumstylez for €53.90. I have no regrets buying it because I enjoyed tasting it and I will enjoy finishing it, but would I buy another? I don't know. A white rum at €50 seems a bit much; for €40, I think I would hesitate less.
