Aroma visualization from community tastings
Dillon Rhum Vieux Agricole Hors d‘Âge 2004
Sip this neat to get its best side: the nose is the star — grass, honey, vanilla, tobacco, dried fruit and soft spice, with a floral, lightly fruity lift. The palate doesn't quite keep up. Several tasters found it dry, a touch oaky and thinned out by reduction, losing some of that aromatic richness before a long, gently dry finish.
- Rich, layered nose
- Long dry finish
- Grass, honey, vanilla

How does Dillon Rhum Vieux Agricole Hors d‘Âge 2004 taste?
Aggregated from 23 community reviews.
Aged agricole with a nose better than its palate A well-aged Martinique agricole with a gorgeous nose, but a few tasters feel the palate falls flat — dry, a little over-oaked and diluted, not matching what the aromas promise.

A rum tasted at Rhum Fest in 2024. A slight acidity on the nose sets it apart from the others, pleasantly counterbalanced by a slight sweetness. On the palate, yellow fruit and complexity. The acidity reappears pleasantly on the finish.

I really love the design of this decanter which matches the content pretty well. Price to quality is very good in my mind and I have ordered a bottle. The nose is fruity with grass, honey, vanilla trailed by tobacco and floral notes. The palate is complex and lightly dry with fruit and wood trailed by honey, grass, vanilla and floral notes. The finish is long and lightly dry with fruit, wood and floral notes.

Review by TheRhumhoe
