25.05.2019 Sitting at home enjoying some nice samples. Notes Light in colour. Nose Intense, ester, fruity, banana, overripe, light mineral, vanilla, light roasted wood,. Palate Round, spicy, medium dry, fruity, banana, ester, light caramel. Finish Medium long, fruity, warm, light caramel.

Un Jamaïcain avec un profil plutôt simple d'accès pour initier des novices. Le nez est très reconnaissable : esters et fruits bien mûrs. Mais le Monymusk vient arrondir le tout et confère de la gourmandise à ce rhum. Très léger car très réduit. Pas beaucoup de longueur. Mais ça reste à mon sens une jolie manière de découvrir les rhums jamaïcains. Edit: testé de nouveau et je baisse ma note car c'est quand même très effacé.

I am a total beginner in the Jamaican style and I found it very pleasant with a very nice balance between tropical fruits, esters and wood. The 40% reduction did not prevent a nice length in the mouth.

I tried this a few times over the years. As I grew to better understand what was meant by a Jamaican funk, I enjoyed it more. It’s still a bit strong, but mixes well.

Good and inexpensive entry into Jamaica Rums, if it should not immediately be an ester bomb. Well comparable with the Plantation Xamayca. Quite flat profile and watery consistency which is offset by the good price-performance ratio.

Déçu par ce rhum. Peut être en cocktails, pour faire ressortir ses effluves. Le 40% est très intense en première bouche mais manque le pep’s d’un jamaïquain. La longueur en bouche est quasi nulle. Le prix va avec le produit. Plutôt basic voir très basic.

Schöner Einstiegs-Jamaikaner mit Frucht, Gewürzen und Vanille. Ohne Farbstoffe und Zucker, aber leider auch vieeeel zu dünn. Bei mir geht er Hauptsächlich in Tee, Drinks oder Kuchen.

In der Nase sehr feine Ester, fruchtig und würzig. Insgesamt wohl auch für Ester-Einsteiger gut geeignet. Für mich dann doch etwas zu harmlos wenn sich sehr angenehm. Auch am Gaumen bleibt er seicht, weist aber die typischen Aromen auf: leichte Ester, die Würzigkeit von Anis, etwas süßes von Honig und eine leicht Rauheit von Leder. Klar dass durch die starke Verdünnung auf nur 40% viel verloren gegangen ist. Als Einstieg in die Jamaika Geschmackswelt aber gut geeignet.

Mein erster Jamaikaner und einer der ersten ungesüßesten Rum. War überrascht wie angenehm er sich trinken lässt. Pfeffrig Würzig im Geschmack, allerdings auch mit einer vorhandenen Schärfe.
