Exciting stuff! Nose reminiscent of a mixture of cognac and foursquare rum. Taste could be for me an absolutely horny cask strength cognac or even Armagnac, barely ticks, very harmonious, strong and tasty! Please more of it Japan!🙌🏼🇯🇵😁🤤 Has at the 2nd tasting something of shochu or sake.

#5063 21.01.2025 Running some samples at home. Nose Wood, roasted, faint sake, fresh, light glue, fruits, intense. Palate Wood, roasted, medium dry, light salt, raisin, light lemon, vanilla. Finish Long, medium dry, wood, light tannins. Lemon. Pretty good rum that is very hard to find, so if you get the chance give it a go.

The nose is very impressive with tropical notes. Palate can't quite keep up with the nose, but nice complexity with Armagnac, sake.

A very good and dark rum. Nice leather. Roasted. Some fruits. Nice and salty. I Recommended. טעימה רום מרתק מיפן. מאוד כהה. עם רשמים שלא פוגשים בכל מקום. כהה ועורי סטייל גויאנה. מסריח שמזכיר פיגי. פירות בהירים קצת ברגע. מלוח. קפה. יופי של בקבוק הפתעה מוחלטת.

Exciting! Intense, fruity nose. Slightly salty, wild, intense. Embedded in soju notes and a hint of fruity cognac. Finish unfortunately a little short, but still very good!

Was excited to try this one and did not disappoint. Super inviting nose, sweet with candied fruit, oak, chocolate. Strong but balanced mouth, some brine and chocolate with a hint of raisin and caramel. I like it a lot. The finish is long and lingering with many layers. Great complexity, nearly a 8.5 for me, glad I have a bottle. It’s not what I was expecting and by far one of the more interesting rum’s I have enjoyed in recent months

Identifiable immediately as a kokuto sugar rum, a la Nine Leaves. Thick mouth feel, demerara on steroids, but hidden in the nose and very late in the (long) finish is a vegetal quality like fresh celery. Slightly hot but forgiveable at the proof. It's nice.
