Brownish color like older Tawny Port. Reserved nose. Raisins, light sweetness, dark spicy and a bit musty. On the palate spicy-sweet. You can clearly notice the PX aging here. Plus wood notes. The ABV is very well integrated. It goes into a medium-long finish that mainly delivers these sweet-spicy notes again. The sweetness is a bit sticky. Something for lovers of strong PX influences. For me too far from the expected Beenleigh profile.

Unfortunately expected more from this Beenleigh. Still quite spicy, you can definitely recognize chocolate here, there's a slight sweetness and a light coffee taste.

I wanted to try this rum for a long time, maybe my expectations were too high. The nose is nice and light, chocolate, caramel, dried fig, raisins, a bit of vanilla and coffee and sweet. On the palate however really sharp warm alcohol should be better integrated, otherwise sweet, oily consistency, chocolate, caramel and wood. A bit of glue and varnish. Finish is not so long but very warm.

Surprisingly sweet. But not overpowering. Reminds me a bit of honey mead. Very soon, a slight glue and citrus aroma becomes noticeable. Deliciously spicy. Nice companion to a medium-strong cigar.
