Made for a relaxed hour with a cigar rather than serious analysis, this Havana Club limited release is light and easy for a Cuban. Nose of wood, caramel, dried fruit and a little nuttiness; the palate turns soft and sweet with plum, white chocolate and a faint coffee-and-cocoa note. One taster puts it "pretty close to the Añejo 15" — pleasant, but nobody calls it complex.

Nose: Caramel, coffee, some banana, lightly spicy Palate: Sweet, caramel, white chocolate, banana, plum, not even that weak for 40% (and in Cuba it is still relatively cheap)

#4655 16.03.2024 just relaxing with John Wick 4 and a few rums 😊 Nose Light, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, spice, light nutts, faint earthy. Palate Light, oily, sweet, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, spice, light chocolate, faint coffee. Finish Medium long, wood, light nutts, dried fruit, light chocolate. The empty glass has stronger chocolate, faint coconut and light caramel.

Very easy and accessible, but also somewhat characterless overall. Rather something relaxed to enjoy with a cigar and not a real high-end Cuba rum. Delicious but could do with a few % more or a finish.
