Grilled pineapple, glue and nail polish up front, with banana, lime and spicy oak behind — classic low-ester Hampden LROK. The nose wins most people over; the glass splits them. Several tasters flag the 64.4% as poorly integrated, biting through the finish, and one calls the sweetness almost artificial. Rested and sipped neat, it shows better than mixed.

Mmmh delicious 🤤🤤🤤 Very good daily sipper „low“ ester Hampden 😎 Nose: Funky, esters, glue, nail polish, grilled pineapple, overripe fruits, lime, oak Palate: Identical notes… super delicious 😏😎 Finish: Dry, esters, tannins, grilled pineapples, fruity, oak. This for sure is a great LROK, but not at ther level of the LROK from HV!!!This is still my favorite

On the nose rather restrained (eg in comparison with the RumClub Ed. 21), on the palate quite alcohol-stingy (when I think of the Plantation HD HJF with its fantastically integrated 70.3%). The Nobilis is not a failure, but he can not fully convince me, unfortunately.

Nice fruity nose, some esters, light woody notes, alcohol here not disturbing or pungent. Slightly acidic . On the palate first a little bitter and woody .... little fruit little ester to taste. With time in the mouth and especially in the finish then quite a lot of bitter notes Alcohol not perfectly integrated. Solid LROK that is even better neat than in Mai Tai.

RumX community meeting October 8, 2025. Anyway a good one. Has nice esters but also banana and pineapple (tropical fruits). But Hampden is definitely well recognizable in this bottling ;-) I like the RumX Community ;-)

Have received in advance a sample of Nobilis and was allowed to test the rum.It is the first LROK from 2013, bottled at 64.4%. The storage was 2 years tropical and 7 years continental. On the nose he makes joy, but in the glass rather disappointing. The alcohol is too dominant and otherwise he is not so exciting.For 139€ at 0.7 liters also not quite cheap.

On the nose classic low ester LROK profile with tropical fruits, grilled pineapple and marzipan. Wood is also present on the nose despite the relatively young age. On the palate again very classic LROK notes. There is quite some sweetness to the bottling which balances the profile nicely. On the downside: alcohol isn’t perfectly integrated.

Tried during a short little sample swap with DomM. Somehow this LROK is a bit different than I expected. The mark never really grabs me. I liked the Hampden Standard LROK better despite the lower ABV.

8,2:On the nose, esters, glue and nail polish, overripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, lime, some red fruits, briny olive, funky, spicy oak with ginger, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, green fruits with apples are out, so is allspice and we might think of scenting a delicious fruit compote.The molasses is herbaceous, flowery, perhaps candied. The wood brings caramel and pastry. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is warm, funky with medicinal notes like esters, glue, some rubber, overripe tropical fruits like pineapple, banana, citrus, red fruits and green fruits with apple, pear, plums and with a help of allspice, we again think of tasting a fruit compote...Some of the fruits are candied, the molasses is herbaceous, grassy, the olive briny.The wood brings pastry, nuts and vanilla, pepper. 8,2:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with tropical, dried and green fruits pairing smoky, spicy oak and medicinal tones..

07.12.2025 Need to clean my palate after the Old St. Croix (A.H. Riise). Still a pretty good rum thinking about the price tag. --------- This one is probably better used for a mixer because the ABV integration is off, even after resting the alcohol still bites especially in the finish.

The fruit aromas are very pleasant, but the alcohol content is a bit too high, although I am not afraid of strength, but it is somewhat poorly integrated, which may be related to the young age and continental aging.

On the nose clearly Hampden and everything you would expect from a low ester mark. The aroma balances sour, spicy and sweet, with notes of zingy lime, grated ginger and a very discernible candied (almost artificial tasting) sweetness, which is a little too overpowering for my liking. More of the same on the tongue, pretty fine, but again with the strange sweetness and unfortunately overall fairly flat. Had this in the glass a couple of times now, hoping in vain that I would like it more ‘the next time’. Not what I’m used to from Nobilis. Checking the price tag completely kills it for me.
